I use it in Vietnam to turn on an off my normal lights through my smart speaker. It works well but it does have a little delay sometimes (maybe 3 seconds).

Just what I need to automate my apartment that I'm renting. Works well, easy reset, easy battery switchout. The hub covers my entire apartment including the other switchbot devices I have.

Our home has older wiring and thus precludes using some of the newer technology in-wall switches for light timing. After many years of using in-wall mechanical timers of all brands, we have migrated all our switches to SwitchBot. We are very satisfied with their performance and reliability.

SwitchBot Bot

I have an old intercom that the building refuses to modernize. Manual button entry which I can now operate remotely! Wonderful for deliveries as I also have a security camera set up.
Even when home, with Alexa activated I dont need to leave the couch (or bed).. what tech was made for.

Purchased a new coffee maker, unfortunately the On/Off rocker switch was not in a position that could accept placement of the Switchbot Bot. So enter good old American ingenuity, I designed and built a simple base bracket to mount the Bot to. I had a flat piece of sheet metal and aluminum "L" angle from a previous project, and built a metal base with bracket to accept the Switchbot Bot, painted the base bracket to match the coffee maker with paint also left over from a previous project. In the end it worked out well because I wasn't really thrilled about securing it directly to the coffee maker.

Setting up the Switchbot had 1 little hiccup. It paired immediately, however the software did not update. I set a schedule in the app, and it seemed to accept it, however when I opened the app a few hours later to test it, the schedule was missing and the Bot was not recognized.

So, I opened up the Bot and pressed the reset switch in the corner of the battery compartment, and the device is now working flawlessly. I have numerous other Switchbot devices that have worked flawlessly over the last 2 years. I'm sold on Switchbot!!
