Tumblr has many different explicit post types that provide nice distinctive presentation for each type.

It would be great if indieweb publishers could use Bridgy Publish to automatically POSSE to Tumblr, and have Bridgy Publish also automatically figure out (from which h-entry properties there are for example) what type of Tumblr post to create.

I didn't do a lot of research when adding Tumblr publishing to silo.pub, but ended up only publishing "text" and "photo" posts for now. Tumblr also has: quote, link, chat, audio, video

None of these really map to indieweb like or reply.

Some notes on Link and Quote types, per @acegiak,

acegiak kylewm: links are kind of like sharing or reposting non-tumblr content? almost always they have a comment attached for context or discussion
acegiak The quote format is nearly unused to the point where I often see posts where someone posts a quote as a text post

if anyone's interested in tackling this, i've written up comprehensive instructions on how to add a new silo to bridgy. feel free to jump in!
