From @kdenhartog and @LorenzoMinto

Add the ability to summarize Privacy Policies and Terms of Service.
Add in prompt tweaking and UI to make this use case more easy for users.

Well known endpoint (here)

It seems they've opted for an HTML link type instead, and may add a .well-known endpoint for this as well.

whatwg/html#9860
whatwg/html#9877

In any case, the HTML has been added to the spec so sites will likely be able to support this towards next year I'd assume.

@kdenhartog how likely and how soon do you think the major web services (e.g. socials, content platforms, etc.) will adopt this endpoint?

also for @bbondy, what types of websites would you see this feature being most valuable for? I was thinking of a way we could do this process offline (updating regularly) and then serve the results to the browser, just need to understand the targets a little better

I think it will take a bit of time to see adoption on this unless there's some external motivator for sites to start supporting it. Right now, features haven't been built around it yet, but I do see that chromium just added support for this and will start counting adoption: https://source.chromium.org/chromium/chromium/src/+/127117a7969a5cbde16347103a7fc391cc857cbc

@bbondy could I get an example of the expected result for this? Would it need a specific design or can Leo just answer?

I think the main thing here would be you don't need to be on a terms of service page to access this type of information. Brave could just find it for you, based on the site you're on, via search help, and explain to you in a consistent template that's easy to understand
