Description

As soon as you hide at least one block in the settings the block directory doesn't display any results.

The results get still returned from the REST API so the problem seems to be client side in the block editor.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Open a post
  2. Open the block inserter and search for something that yields a block directory result, e.g. "Sharing"
  3. See the blocks available to install
  4. Open Preferences
  5. Open the "Blocks" panel
  6. Disable any block
  7. Close the Preferences
  8. Open the block inserter and again search for something that yields a block directory results, e.g. "Sharing"
  9. No blocks to install are displayed

Environment info

  • WordPress 6.3.1
  • WordPress 6.3.1 with Gutenberg 16.7.1 active
  • Desktop with Firefox 118.0.1 as well as Chrome 117.0.5938.149
