Deploying our low-emission cracking technology in Texas! ⚡ We are pleased to have been awarded an engineering and procurement contract by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company to supply our low-emission cracking furnace technology at the client’s facility in Sweeny, Texas. Our design of the low-emission cracking furnace improves fuel efficiency using a novel heat recovery scheme which includes combustion air preheat and a first-of-its-kind gas-to-gas primary feed effluent exchanger. The project also electrifies a major compressor driver and, because the furnace can use hydrogen as fuel, it enables immediate and future reductions in the carbon intensity of the existing olefins unit. Umm Lulu development project in Abu Dhabi receives final acceptance! 🏗️ It’s official! We’re pleased to announce that our client ADNOC Group Offshore has issued the Final Acceptance Certificate for the Umm Lulu Phase II Full Field Development Project. This milestone confirms that our consortium with Abu Dhabi’s NMDC Group has met all contractual obligations. Located approximately 40 km northwest of Abu Dhabi, this project is part of the Umm Lulu Super Complex and spans 1.1 km. Technip Energies played an important role, handling the full engineering, procurement, commissioning and startup processes, while also supporting our partner during fabrication and offshore installation. Neste Rotterdam project lift campaign completed! 🏗️ ⏳   We are pleased to report that in March our team at the Neste renewables refinery in Rotterdam completed on schedule a heavy lift campaign involving the installation of eight major columns.    The most challenging lift of the campaign was the hydrotreating reactor, which weighs 700 tons and is 50 meters long. Preparation involved excavating 3,500m3 of soil – the affected area was equivalent in size to 28 soccer pitches!   The Rotterdam Capacity Growth project will increase overall renewable production capacity at the plant by 1.3 million tons per year. Supporting sailing excellence 🌊⛵ At the recent J80 World Championship in La Rochelle, France, Technip Energies sponsored the Dutch sailing team “Jeugdbende,” led by our colleague Umberto Cornelis. While the race presented tough conditions with tricky currents, Jeugbende followed our purpose of breaking boundaries and achieved a remarkable 9th place in the first race. The team’s innovation and collaboration won it 47th place overall, giving Jeugdbende’s members valuable experience for future races. Top Award at the ECITB Active Cup! 🏆 Our UK Operating Center achieved success in the prestigious ECITB Active Cup, with a team emerging as champions of this challenging project management competition. Organized by Cranfield University on behalf of the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) and the European Construction Institute, the Active Cup requires teams from various sectors to manage a simulated project from inception to completion, aiming for the highest profit margin possible. Over an intense three-day period in June, our teams had the challenge of constructing an environmental monitoring center. Through their innovative approach and strategic planning, both teams excelled, with Team 2 taking home the top prize! This win is a measure of our commitment to excellence in project management. GET Inspired: Our recap of the Global Energy Transition Congress and Exhibition 🌍   We just got back from Milan where we had a great time at the Global Energy Transition Congress and Exhibition, a major new industry platform with a focus on decarbonizing industry and achieving net zero emissions.   Together with energy and tech companies, thought leaders, financial institutions and other stakeholders, we had many excellent discussions on how we can collectively overcome obstacles and achieve the energy transition. On our booth and in panels and talks, our teams presented our offerings in low-carbon hydrogen, carbon capture, sustainable aviation fuel and advisory solutions for the energy transition. Our Chief Executive Officer Arnaud Pieton was present for a plenary session, setting out how Technip Energies is helping meet the challenge through low-carbon solutions that are affordable and ready to scale up.
