Web player skipping to the end of episodes.
-
Launched the web player just now and found it is skipping to the end of episodes and not playing anything. Anyone else having this issue? I have tried multiple web browsers.
-
I’m also having this problem right now – It’s not working on the web app, or the Mac OS app either (how I usually listen).
It was running fine for me until I noticed a banner update saying something along the lines of “this version is out of date, please update” and I reinstalled the program.
Podcasts are still playing on my iOS app fine though.

Same, the web player and windows desktop app are skipping to the last second of the podcast and then archiving the podcast – very annoying.

Same issue in Chrome webplayer. Worked fine last night, no good this morning. Any word if it is being looked at?

Having the same issue using the web player as a Microsoft Edge app, tried refreshing browser cache etc with no luck, thinking it was a sync issue before noticing it being widespread across all podcasts, then searching led me here thankfully.

Same here. The Android version is unaffected, but the web version and the (basically also the web version) Windows Store version are FUBARed with this skipping to the end, and worse – Pocket Casts decided to archive and lose the playback position of a bunch of episodes at the top of my queue, before I could kill it :-(

I’m having the same problem (web app and Windows desktop app). Suppose it’s good to know I’m not alone. Hopefully more posts here will get PocketCasts attention so they can track down the bug.

Same thing happening here on Edge and Chrome (windows). Had to switch over temporarily to Spotify which makes me feel dirty.
Hopefully the team are aware of the issue and there’s a fix soon. -
Same here (Windows app, Edge Desktop), it skips on all podcasts, makes the app unusable.

I had this same issue using the web player on Firefox. It skipped through 2 episodes at the top of my queue, but then picked up from there. It happened a second time when I returned from a walk, so I just stayed with the Android app instead of using the web player.
In both cases, it occurred when switching from the Android app and trying to continue on the web app.

Thanks for reporting back, @zchmmtt289e490a0a!
For everyone else, our team has just released a fix for the issue. Please close your browser or our Windows/MacOS app, and then re-open it. That should fix the issue.
