  1. Hi newbie here. Let me explain my situation. Just play Fallout New Vegas in the past 3 weeks I guess. I have base + all DLC via Epic Games. Since the week 2 I play the game, I realized the Achievements System on Epic Games does not work as intended. I unlocked many Achievements in-game but the Epic Games launcher never unlocked it. The Launcher keep syncing Save Game and progress to their Cloud so I assumed the Cloud System is okay. FYI. I almost complete the game, on the Hoover Dam quest. I have read many complaints about this bad function from the Epic Game Store/Launcher. Some explain the problem is because the Syncing mechanism is work after closing the game, not like Steam that progress can be count while the game is running (I'm not sure if it's true). So I asked the Epic Games Discord Mod, he said it was not true, Epic Syncing works like steam. So, I did submitted ticket to Bethesda and explain this problem, Bethesda CS cannot help anything. So I talked to Epic Games support, he guided me to the step where he told me to Verify the game and clear cache Epic Games Launcher. I did both of it. But when I reopen the game, it was closed it self. I don't know why., so i run the Verify again 4x. Still the same. --------------------------------------------------------- After all this problem, I still talked on the Epic Games Discord Server, to the point where they conclude the Epic Games Overlay System does not work, that's why the Achievement progress not counted. And so on, the game still closed it self. So I disabled all the mods on Vortex. And the game running also the Epic Games Overlay it also worked. The conclusion is, Achievements cannot work because I'm using mods, at least on Epic (I just learn this today). I don't know on Steam, since i don't have games on Steam that required mods. And the game won't open with mods enabled. ------------------------------------------ The question is, how do I play the game with mods again? Since using mods cause the games crash now after I Verify the game. Any work on how to deploy mod? Because i don't know which mod that cause the game crash, no indicator error or missing dependencies on Vortex. Many thanks.

In the world LOD window, a custom worldspace I created contains a staggering 455304 terrain chunks , Something just tells me this isn't normal judging by the amount of chunks in "WastelandNV" (1360). Despite my map only being the size of only a fraction of the base game world. EDIT: I've noticed that the issue most likely stems from the use of individual static world objects and the neglect to create static collections of these objects to improve performance and reduce unnecessary terrain chunk counts. As a whole, I've come across numerous issues while worldspace building and I fail to find specific answers for each one, I believe I need someone who is experienced with worldspace building to answer my questions.
  4. I've been looking for a mod that makes stomach growls, yawns, coughs, etc to notify me when hardcore needs get too high. I've seen a few via youtube and read about some on posts, but no ones been able to give me a straight answer about the mod. Any ideas? Thanks

  6. In terms of the karma gain of giving healing powder to Daniel, is the karma gained per turn-in or per powder? In other words, 1 turn-in of 10 powders should give you the equivalent good karma of turning in all 10 separately, right?
  7. So I recently got FNV, and so I'm taking the opportunity to get back into mods, as well. However, I'm taking a minimalist approach. Initially, I only got the unofficial patch (YUP) and only got NVSE to get past the infinite loading screen bug. Now, I've decided to expand to basic nudity. For that purpose, which mod do you recommend? I was looking at this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64014 But the comments appear to indicate some problems. And yes, I would like to reclarify minimalist and basic. I recall downloading nude mods for Fallout 3, and while it did work, it also somehow buffed the stats of the centaurs.
  8. So I'm in quite the pickle with a custom outfit I'm working on for New Vegas (Blender -> NifSkope -> GECK) ahem, anyways... I've made a set of armor in Blender, a Karate Gi, if you will. For the most part, everything works. I can get it ported into Nifskope no issue, into Geck no issue, and of course into game no issue. My issue stems from "weight painting" the armor I guess. (The Gi's texture is very primitive right now, I recently purchased a pack of brushes to spruce/dirty it up, don't hate on me!) For the life of me, the right arm of my model just doesn't want to cooperate. I've weight painted it, tweaked the vertices, etc. but I cannot get it to function as a single piece of armor in game. The left arm works fine, in fact, I don't think I had to do much with it to get it to work. I'm pretty sure it worked right out the box. It just that dang right arm that's been causing me grief for the last few days. This is my second iteration of the Gi. I made it once before, but both arms were having this issue so I decided to remake the torso bit from the ground up again. - StealthD
  9. Hey I love this mod and this is the first time I have ever encountered a problem with it. Willow disappeared in my game and the radio isn't working is there a way to bring her back? It says Willow is on the map but she is physically not there. Please help!!!!! Also I did not fire her twice or at all she literally vanished from my game not even the Item browser mod could find any reference to willow in my game or none of the npc's in the mod for that matter? Also I tried console commands player.moveto which takes me to her location but she isn't there, and moveto player/player.placeatme don''t work? For the longest time she was following me and then I realized she was gone with no trace of course I could load an older save but that would take me way to far back. Are there any solutions for this?? This is also making it to where I can't do lonesome road.

  11. I was wondering if it'd be possible to import an armor mod from New Vegas. This one here - http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35081/? It's the police uniform from Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade, and it was pretty badass in New Vegas. Not really lore breaking either, looks right at home alongside NCR Ranger armor. Anyways I was just wondering if importing it is even possible or if it'd have to be remade from scratch. The original author doesn't seem to have been active since June of last year, so I don't know how you'd get permission from them to import it if it's even possible to do so in the first place. Image is from the user image section of the mod on the nexus, thanks to whoever originally took it.
  12. Hi, for the past few days I've been trying to fix this and it's coming to no luck so I've decided to come here for help or any advice. A lot of you will know Dracomies well known New Vegas Redesigned 3 mod, a brilliant character overhaul to the game and we know he is doing more enhancements to the mod such as fixing bugs and getting new voice actors. However I'm having a problem where females have normal faces but their entire body is pink. I knew this is a problem with the textures so I went in there to fix it and whenever I delete the NVR textures/characters files that come with it, the bodies are back in how they are normally but I don't get the brilliant overhaul content the mod offers which is a kick in the balls. Before asking yes I do have archiveinvalidation installed and I have bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=0, changed to =1. I've been trying to see which textures are having problems and have looked up any problems that are similarly happening but have had no luck so I've come here for help. I don't think any of the mods I have is causing corruption because I disabled all the mods I had (aside from the main dlc and NVR itself) and still had the problem. But if you need to look at my load order to see if anything could be causing the problem then check it here. I may add some unmarked quests down the line, but mostly this will be used as a (literal) sandbox for roleplaying and settlement building. For my own personal version I intend to port assets from NV, but for now I am recreating the meshes based on what's already available in Fallout 4. Eventually I intend to recreate the Divide from Lonesome Road and properly connect it to the rest of the Mojave, but that's way later on. Currently I'm still building this myself, but if you happen to be interested in contributing somehow, shoot me a PM and we can discuss it further. Okay so I'm sitting here with the newest version of FNVEdit, trying to add Project Nevada 2.5 support to helmets from A.D.A.M. 4.1 (The unofficial update made by another modder well before PN-2.5 came out), well I'm not experienced with this at all and decided this'd be fun to try to do as my first foray into modding. Now in my fool errand I discovered this handy dandy tutorial. Now see this would all be well and good, except I have reached Step 5, where according to this ancient tut is where I'd add the ADAM Main esp as a master for my new patch. All good so far, right-click etc. Now the problem comes where it calls for right-clicking FormID List of the new esp and selecting add. Now if you noticed at the time the tutorial was made it was as simple as selecting Add and it'd give you a new Null reference to edit from there. Well in this new FNVEdit instead there's this troublesome little arrow with the Add option, under which is FLST Form ID, which when selected DOES NOT create a Null reference to edit instead it brings up the box in the attached image. So I guess what I'm getting at is, wtf do I do now? Does anyone know? Does anyone have a link to a more up-to-date tutorial? Any help will earn you my eternal gratitude, and hopefully lead to a sexy new compatibility patch for A.D.A.M. and Project Nevada in anno domini 2016
  15. Hi all, So I have an issue with TTW, it keeps constantly crashing on me at completely random times. Sometimes 15 mins after loading, sometimes an hour but it always crashes. Sometimes it will freeze on the pinwheel of death (loading screen), sometimes it will say "FalloutNV has stopped working", sometimes it will just freeze and I have to sign out and log back in to my account on my PC in order to close the game. After installing game fixes, patches and the 4gb enabler, I have no idea what to do and would like some advice. Yes, I know TTW is sort of frowned upon on this site but I really want to play this game. Here is my load order in case it's that..... I would also like to add that I have uninstalled many of my mods in case of conflicts, but it still crashes.

  17. Willow is undoubt-ably the most popular companion mod for New Vegas. That's understandable as well, as she is very well designed, the voice work is fantastic and there is a lot of meat to her mod. However, Willow has always had one glaring issue that I am uncertain if I want to complete her entire mod to see if it gets remedied. My question is how is willow's character? New Vegas has a plethora of likable companions, all with backstory and personal relation to the character. Cass has lost her caravan and got screwed over, Boone lost his wife and wishes to avenge her, Veronica wants to save her family from destruction despite their ignorance. Heck even mods can produce fantastic characters meeting Obsidian's quality such as Niner, a fantastic mod that adds a likable character who I felt a connection to and as the game went on Niner, like all my other companions, stopped being a programmed npc, and actually felt like my buddy, my friend, someone who was truly in the world and changing overtime. Willow.. she's attractive? I guess? Before anyone jumps on me, this is why I am making this topic. Is Willow truly that good of a character? I don't want to play through all her quests only to see the same girl I met in the beginning. Is there any resemblance of emotional connection to her? The Courier really deserves someone to hold at night and kiss after surviving another day in the harsh desert. Willow feels like a sex toy instead of a companion. But maybe I'm wrong. Am I? To anyone who has finished the mod please comment and tell me if it's worth playing through her mod to find a change in the character and there is something more to her. I would love to know because I want this mod to hit me to the point where it's a must have for my playthroughs. If not, is there any mod I SHOULD go for for my request?

  19. Hello. I am trying to make a mod that contains an alternate start similar to the one present in DUST or Obscurum Pandemic. However, I cannot seem to get it to work. My process is based largely off what was done in Obscurum. I have kept Doc Mitchell's house as the starting cell, I just cannot get the player to "get out of the bed," without Doc Mitchell present. I have tried almost everything to no avail. Disabling Doc Mitchell or removing his script only trap the player in the hazy, swaying state present in the vanilla start. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.
  20. So, i know that sometimes if you install a mod from another country like, say.... Russia, then the game will try to replace English text in the game with Russian text, but since its the English version of the game, there are no Russian letters, and so the game just puts in a bunch of weird "i"s and "a"s and "e"s with accent marks above them. Well, i have no foreign mods installed, i just did a clean install, and installed only mods from English speakers, and somehow my games text is gradually being replaced with the weird symbols... help????
  21. Okay so, I am using a MSI Nvidia GTX 970 to play Fallout: New Vegas. Got a bunch of mods loaded up and a very demanding mod called Obscurum Pandemic. Now I have done the "Prefer Maximum Performance" thing in the Control Panel and it works for about 5-10 minutes and then suddenly it will just go back down to about 50% usage. The usage changes in different areas it's very strange. In the South of the Map the usage is around 50% and the FPS can go as low as 15. Then in the North it can go to around 90% usage, the FPS is a solid 60. Not sure if this is a coincidence or not. If you could help me in Forcing it to use even more, maybe an application I haven't heard of. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I seem to be having no luck when it comes to textures i've tried all 3 sized of NMC's texture pack i've installed the all the compatibility patches the only textures mods i'm using is EVE and NMC's only other one is the WRP Now to the problem, all my textures are blurry, like smeared charcoal weapons. armors, environments everything even my pipboy and even some item icons in the inventory and shop menus the only thing not messed up are the npc models hell even all the items from quest mods are blurred, the armor from courier's cache is blurred i've watch the tutorials that Gopher posted i've followed his advice i have NMM and NVEdit i've tried mutiple things, but nothing works Does anyone have any advice?

The Seattle wasteland has been covered with snow due to the seemingly never ending nuclear winter and the continuous cold front from the north. You are the overseer of Vault 1. The mod starts as you getting ready for a meeting soon, when an activation sequence gets sent from outside the vault to open the main door. The entire vault security staff piles up to the entrance room, and there is standing a squad of soldiers in power armor asking to speak to the overseer. They tell you that they are here for the nuclear core from the reactor, and if the dwellers do not comply, they will have to use force. You then hastily agree and they then leave with the core. The dwellers of the vault are immensely disappointed in you, and you volunteer to exit the vault, and search for a replacement core before the backup power drains, or worst case scenario, a new place to live. You are given a weapon, security armor, and sent out into the cold. In your wandering and searching you come across a man named Abel, a leader of a rebellion against a faction called Boulder, named The Cause. He tells you that the people who raided the vault were soldiers from Boulder, and says that they might be able to help each other. Abel is a former BoS Paladin, and was one of the few survivors of the BoS/Boulder war. He also knows something more. Something extraordinarily more important at stake. LOCATIONS http://i.imgur.com/xGahpnp.png Space Needle: Home to SkyCity, originally a Pre-War restaurant, but now a small outpost started a few years back, with only a few people living in it, due to its hard way of entry. Pike Place: A village on the frozen bay of seattle, completely surrounded by a massive wall of shipping containers. Pike Place is easily the biggest settlement in the Seattle Wasteland, and is home to Pike Place Radio. Vault-Tec Northwestern HQ: Vault-Tec's Headquarters for the northwest of the United States. The lobby has an elevator, a lot like the one located at Vault 111, that lowers into the vault located in downtown Redmond. Trumbull: Located in the pre-war industrial district, Trumbull is a ghetto filled with junkies, raiders, rejects, ghouls, or simply people who have nowhere to go. Tesla Tower: An old abandoned Poseidon Energy test facility, it is a mansion like building with a central courtyard, housing a massive tesla tower in the center. The Fall: The Pre-war town of Fall City is now entirely populated by Super Mutants, the only major location of them since they all had to travel north after the master was destroyed, just over 100 years ago. They have since used Vault 25, under the entrance bridge, since it was stocked with vats of the FEV virus, and they have used it to create more of their kind. Gasworks: A disturbing pre-war site with the rusty pipes and feral ghouls who originally were rushing to Vault 14, but instead ended up staying at the old gas plant.   24. Ok, so in August I decided to try Nexus Mods. I loved it at first, but became more and more difficult to get some of the mods i wanted to try to work. Especially now that i was told the New Vegas Script Extender was a must for some mods.. Now that i have it I cannot validate my local files, it crashes New Vegas as I start it. I have tried deleting NVSE, re-installing my game, and countless other options. So, far no dice. I'm getting irritated. I also must mention. I am new to all of this. so most forums that were probably helpful, are most likely all gibberish to me. I really need help. Fallout 3 and NV are my favorite PC games....and I feel like I have shot myself in the foot.
