  1. Hi! How are aspens retextured in Skyrim CK (or is it even possible?) ? I have aspen branches in my unpacked skyrim texture files but there are no texturesets for tree braches (that I could find) in CK. Only the tree bark. Also, when I click on the tree, I only get the window that prompts me to upload a model for the tree. All this has me STUMPED... I tried to search for tree retexturing tutorials but I couldn't find them. Is retexturing a tree the same as retexturing a weapon? I have never tried to do that, so I don't know. If you know a good tutorial about tree textures, could you drop me link, please?
  2. This mod would be very complex, but in my opinion would be incredably cool. A mod that allowed tracking on all attacks, both player and NPC, and allowed them to interact with the environment arround you. Imagin you are in one of the many forrests of skyrim, and you come across a fire dragon. Instead of breathing fire through the trees and only wreaking havoc on you, the fire started to burn down the trees, causing them to change to the burned texture, and eventually topple over onto the ground, hurting anything in its way. Then you use your unrelenting force shout, and it snaps all the trees in its path. At the end of this, what should be epic, battle there is mass carnage inflicted onto the landscape. And you would also be able to chop down treed with your weapons. Maybe like five hits with a one-handed and three hits with a two-handed. And if you wanted to start the fun all over again, there could be a spell that allows you to reset the landscape. Overall I think it would be a really cool mod, but unlike my last mod idea, there is no way I would even be able to attempt the creation of this mod idea, so if you give this post enough support then maybe it will become a reality.

  4. Is this something to deal with LOD or do you think this is some kind of texture issue? Is this a common problem or something I can tweak in my .inis? It only seems to happen at a distance. I don't have floating trees or anything up close. When I draw close to these trees, the textures switch to the type of tree it is and load in properly.
  5. How can I use a perk mod like Ordinator but also use a mod that overhauls an individual perk tree? If I just have the individual perk tree mod below Ordinator in my load order will they both work properly? Or do I have to remove the perk trees from Ordinator itself for it to work? I'm just trying to use Ordinator but without its light armor and one handed perk trees because I have separate mods for those trees, but don't have mods for the other trees. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  6. Ok guys, so I have been modding for days and have gotten my game to the point where I am pretty happy. BUT, the one thing I cannot stand that is driving me crazy is the LODs for the snowy pine trees. Does there exist LODs for these trees that does not look like cardboard!? Please someone help me, I can't stand to look at them... you can see a vertical line down the center from the face 90 degrees to you, it's just aweful. I uninstalled vurt's flora overhaul to get rid of the pine tree retexture to see what would happen but to no avail. All my other LODs look acceptable and I use TES5LODGen.   7. Recently I went through the process of uninstalling the Tropical Skyrim mod as I didn't really like the look of it and it took away a lot of my frame rate. To uninstall it I went through a few of the necessary files and just deleted them, assuming that the skyrim textures.bsa file would replace them with the vanilla files. However when i loaded up my game, the tree Lods had somehow turned into stone wall textures, and I can't fix it. What do I do?
  8. Hello everybody, I'm struggling to find what´s causing a particular tree model to pop up only at close range. I've tried messing with textures/meshes, got my DynDOLOD SE version running, changed a few lines in the .ini files, nothing seems to work at all. I can't tell if it's a lod problem, DynDOLOD seems to be working fine but the bug is still there. The aspen tree hd texture looks fine when you´re close to it, at distance though you can clearly see it´s not even the same model, it just looks black. By the way, I've been using an Oldrim Winter Overhaul mod since I installed SkyrimSE and I never had any issues with it so I suppose something just happened there recently because I've got 200h+ in-game so far and I've just noticed it a few days ago.   9. Hello everyone! I need help with a strange problem, which I recognized just today. The distant trees just... Popping up. If I go a little bit closer to them, they appear at once... A lot. I don't think I have any mod which edits the Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini I'm a little bit far here: I'm a littly bit closer now: So yeah, you can see that difference :D Any help? :D EDIT: I use HRK ENB
  10. Not too sure why my trees are cut in half Horizontally, Also, While tweaking some mods, I made the trees look horrible... But i really would love some input on this issue. Not really sure why this is happening, I looked all over the net for a few hours for people with similar problems and i can not for the life of me fix my own, I myself am using Mod Organizer 2, And have tried a few things here and there but to no avail could i fix this issue and it has plagued me for over a half a year and i am sick and tired of it because it really puts me off from wanting to play until i fix this issue, I love having a green Skyrim with no snow or snow covered trees and i'm doing my best to make that type of Skyrim for myself but until this is fixed, i might not be able to do that.   11. Hello everyone, The shire mod is just a few days from release and I've run into a bit of a problem. I am using a mixture of Hoddminir and Ztree Nifs both found in this resource: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38651/? but up until now all attempts at customly generating the lod for these assets have fallen short, proving that this is a step above my current skill level. While typically I would take the time to figure out this dilemma myself I have only a little over a week before I start prepping for Army boot camp and the time between I intend on fixing the remaining bugs in the quests and uploading the mod itself. If anyone in the community would be interested in generating custom lod for these trees I would be entirely grateful. I have the esp and its files packed up and ready to send, and you're more than welcome to run through the questline (though still a little buggy) if willing to help. Much appreciated, TheBawb
  12. I tried to replace trees meshes, but it doesnt work. In game all trees are still a vanilla ones. Any suggestions?
  13. I'm having trouble making my skill trees look correct in game. In the creation kit I have been testing a lot of different layouts for a new skill tree but no matter what I try, the perks are always separated unevenly, but in the creation kit they separated evenly. Does anyone know why my skill tree looks wrong in game? Does anyone have experience making new skill trees, and could help me with mine? Thanks for the help. ***EDIT*** Nevermind, I solved the issue. If anyone has a similar issue I can tell you what I did and maybe it will work for you too.
  14. I am running RealVision ENB performance with elfx. Installed with NMM, Use ModOrganizer/ Loot. Cleaned Dirty Edits with tesvedit. Followed the whole description page to the single last detail. Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini are edited from MO profile folder. enbseries.ini is in /steamapps/common/skyrim. I run SKSE through MO. All mods are up to date. I have included my load order. skyrim.ini skyrimprefs.ini and enbseries.ini Certain trees near Riverwood branches shake unrealistically. (00024B4B)TreePineForest3 Is one of them. They shake around more wildly then they should. Unsure if I am missing a patch for this possible fix? Image of type of tree below. Videos of the branch shaking. Also have the same textures from far away trees making it look quite unpleasant. I have edited these settings.   15. I am getting really frustrated with this now... No matter what entry I change in my skyrimpref.ini or which LOD I try out, I can't increase the start fod distance of the trees and add shadows to those which are 20m away from me.   16. Hello! As a big fan of the Planet of the apes movies, I have decided to create an Planet of the apes mod! (This may not be the most lore friendliest mod). Features: Become a Chimpanzee (maybe other kind of monkeys too). Climb in trees as Chimpanzee. Climb on buildings as Chimpanzee New Chimpanzee perks wich makes the Chimpanzee smarter (makes you able to maybe equip armor and ride horses and stuff) Swing across in trees. If you chose to become the Chimpanzee in the race menu you will get another starting place. Jump farther and longer. Run like a Chimpanzee. Sneak (Sneak on all four, maybe an perk wich makes you able to sneak regulary) New quests. New houses. New cities and villages. New land. Chimpanzee colonies Chimpanzee leaders (You can become one and create your own colony) This is what I need: A modeler. An animator. Scripter/Modder.   17. If someone even work with trees or plants, please tell me how this pipeline work, i'd appreciate it! So, this part of mod will replace vanilla on my trees with regional placement, depending on nature aspect. I never tryed before do somthing for Skyrim. But, work with few engines, like cryengine, udk. This whole new world for me guys )))) Maybe someone share link on tutorial or smthg. This software im using: Creation Kit, BSAopt, NIFScope, Cinema 4D(optional) I want to know how create new tree with animation and collusion of course. How to do easy: make new tree or replace existing? VERY HOPE ON YOU, DOVAKHIN :] Seriously, its important for me. If i dont get it, maybe great modification will be gone forever. Thanks.

So I've thrown a whole bunch of mods together (from the RealVision ENB mod list here), and I found that the pine trees that you would find near Riverwood/Whiterun sway ridiculously fast, as if it were super windy. The thing is, these are the only trees that do this. Snowy trees, Aspens, and others don't do this, so I'm not sure what could be causing it. I'm still a noob in the modding scene, so forgive me if I seem vague or ignorant. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. Okay, so I have the mod Skyrim HD 2k Textures - LITE and it's great. All is lovely... however, I lag like all hell when in forested areas. No doubt because of the higher resolution graphics on the trees. Is there any way I could lower the resolution on trees or install some sort of... low res tree texture mod if there's even one out there? I don't want to remove the entire mod because everywhere else runs smoothly, it's just forested areas my computer can't seem to handle. Any ideas on how I might be able to fix this? ^^; Keep in mind, I'm running ENBoost (I don't actually use an ENB though) and a bunch of other stability/functionality type tweaks and all so I don't need any more of those... just need a way to lower the tree res or something without making them look TOO atrocious or removing them all together. I also prefer -not- to disable shadows from my game if I can help it- last resort.

  21. I'm sure by now a lot of us have seen the Youtube video about the Danish guy who can shoot a bow and arrow like nobody's business. My question and request is: is there an archery mod like that on the nexus? If not, could someone please make it. Perhaps overhaul the archery tree so that movement isn't impaired while shooting, have rapid fire shooting, something that allows close range archery combat, maybe even remodel the quiver so it can be attached to the hip rather than the back.
