  1. I don't know what I did, or why it's broken, but my game is broken badly. Everytime I enter a new cell, it crashes. I have alternate start, and everytime I choose a new starting scenario, and lay in the bed, i CTD. I have my log attached, if ANYONE can help me, I would be so grateful.   4. When installing new mods or trying to use the "deploy all" function Vortex would get stuck on deploying the mod that comes last alphabetically. I've been able to get around this but I ran into issues with a mod and need to look into it, but now Vortex requiring I activate my game in the app which involves deploying all my mods, which it cannot do as it gets stuck. It then tells me "Stuck? Please check your vortex.log file." I tried reinstalling Vortex, deleting any mod that has [ERROR] next to it (although when that didn't fix it I restored the file and now there is no error), and I can't make heads or tails of anything else in the log. Can someone please help me? Also when I try to upload my log on it says "Sorry, an unknown server error occurred when uploading this file.   5. Does a genius know what cause warn c0000409 ??? My game don't launch, not even a crash report message from the game . I tried a lot of thing but didn't work .   6. The vortex mod manager itself is not downloading. im trying to get the new version, I've had it before, i have no idea what's wrong. i click the download button and absolutely nothing happens. please help.
  7. Hey, So I've got this weird issue with vortex where it doesn't download mods when I click on download with mod manager. My firefox is setup to redirect nxm links to vortex, and somehow Vortex does recognize I clicked the download button, it just doesn't do anything. I ran Vortex as admin to check, and when I click the download with manager button, I get a Vortex UAC prompt, and if I click Yes, nothing happens. The only way to download mods is to paste the direct nxm link in the URL section of the downloads page, but if I want to download more than one mod, it is not feasible. Also reinstalling Vortex is not an option as I have a very heavy modlist that reinstalling would break. Anyone have any clue as to what's happening ?

So I'm not sure if it's a memory leak or something else but I've been working on installing 2 big collections for BG3 and I keep having to restart my computer during the process because it is using increasingly more memory as it runs. I have 32gb of ram and after a couple hours of downloading/installing its maxed out when I return to it and causing all kinds of problems. I just started it up again and in the time it took to write this my memory usage went from 7gb to 14 with nothing major running aside from vortex and chrome. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to resolve this or if you need any more details.
  9. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. So, I have been playing a modded BG3 playthrough for a few days and it's been going great. I updated a few mods today, then when I launched the game through Vortex, the game behaved as though it was my first time ever launching it, and "Continue" and "Load Game" are gone, leaving just New Game. If I launch via steam, the saves are there and I can load in. But as far as I understand it, mods can only be loaded from Vortex when you launch the game from Vortex. So idk what is causing it but anytime I launch the game through Vortex now, the game doesn't read any saves. Is this a common problem or is there something I have installed in Vortex causing this?
  10. Okay, to start this off. I have a mod list. Can be found here. This works fine for me. A-Okay. All mods install. I haven't checked through if each one does it's intended purpose but I never have an issue loading up with Vortex to get into the game or deploying my mods. The problem? My friend using the same exact mod list cannot deploy a few mods. He also cannot join me when we both turn those mods off. We can't join each other. We can't get the mods to work. We can't figure out what's breaking. Everything is up to date. All mods are updated. They aren't even important mods the few that break. So, when we turned them off and tried joining each other. It still didn't work. I'm new to modding games as this isn't like Divinity where really only one person needed the mods and the rest can join off them or like Terraria. So having to have both people download the same mods is a bit much and now I can't figure out what broke and why it's effecting him being able to join my lobby. It's a lot of rambling but the TL;DR is. My mods work for me. Five or Six do not work for a friend. Turning them off/unistalling them does not let us join each other. Leaving them on doesn't either. We don't know why we can't join each other. And a key part I forgot to mention? The literal night before we played perfectly fine and nothing was wrong. So, it suddenly broke today and we have no idea why. Any advice on where to check what to look for any quick fixes your not sure I tried. ALL of it is really appreciated.
  11. Hello, just wanting to know how I can port the casting animation from Skyrim to Fallout 4? I have the Creation Kit for Fallout 4 but no other tools. I want to port the one-handed spell casting animation so I can make a weapons version of "plasmids" mods instead of them being grenades like other modders have done. Reasons for this are strictly preferential as I'm not a fan of using the grenades slot vice the weapons slot for it. Essentially the mod I want to create using this port would require alot of work and detail so I'm trying to take things in chunks at the moment and will work on each step little by little. I have attempted to get assistance with making my first mod before, same concept, however I received no responses or assistance. Please help in any way you can by pointing me to what I need, perhaps if you are feeling generous you could give guidance, direction, or even teaching, it would be most appreciated if you did. Anyway, here's to attempt number 2, thank you all in advance. P.S. I'm not against someone else making the mod if they like the idea, however I would prefer to do it myself.
  12. Hello, i'm having a problem with my Skyrim game and i hoped collective wisdom could save me (because i'm a quiche with informatics). My game will not stop crashing to desktop. I've tried : uninstalling/installing it, uninstall/install all the mods, charge the game from a manual save… I did the NMM update, too ! I'm mostly sure my game does not have conflincting modds, and i have a computer with 8GoRAM and more than sufficient disk space and requirement. I'm very lost and would really appreciate any help ! Hey so Effectively i just hit level 47 and have gone to craft a new set of armour but when i did so discovered that i had no option to build daedric armours, I can build daedric weapons but not the armour. I have all perks in the smithing tree so i see no reason why this should be happening.   14. As the title says the directory for New Vegas will not work. It works with other games and I have made sure that everything is on the same drive. This happened suddenly without me touching Vortex, or games for that matter, for two days. If someone could help me with this, it would be great.
  15. I'm new to Stardew Valley modding and I can't seem to get SMAPI to run on my game. I ran the installer and tried loading some mods but I'm not sure if there are any steps that I missed
  16. I recently started modding fallout 4 again and downloaded a significant number of mods at once (a little over 100). I am a fairly experienced modder, and I periodically booted up the game to make sure it worked, so I didn't think there would be any issues. However, once I actually started playing I immediately noticed that all of the vanilla guns' names had been changed to their actual names (10mm pistol -> colt N99 | hunting rifle -> remington model 700 | laser rifle -> general atomics rifle). I have NO idea which mod did this, since as far as I can tell it's not listed as a feature for any of my mods. The game still works fine so normally I wouldn't care enough to pursue it, but the name changes are disrupting my modded inventory sorting so I'd prefer to fix it. I've been pulling my hair out trying to identify the offending mod, with no luck. I've attached photos of my mod list, if anyone has faced this before and can help I would be eternally grateful! P.S. Let me know if there is a more efficient way to show my mod list, just taking screenshots feels very heavy-handed. EDIT: Big thanks to yuser for the FO4edit suggestion, and the concise explanation on how to use it to find the problem. Turns out it was VIS-G item sorting that did the renaming.

I remember the first time i found a walking cane in fallout 4 and thought to myself "Oh thats a nice concept for an old man charecter who walks with a limb" only to find that it only was another melee weapon! I Want some animations! :P well, just one actually... One where when you have the cane equipped, and you are walking, your charecter will actually use the cane for support. JUst for the walking animation is all i ask, I don't care about running, attacking etc. I just wanna feel like doctor house! I suggest one of two options or both preferably. One Where the player uses it with a stiff back as a gentleman would use it. And one with a pronounced limb for those people who wanna play a cripple :P If Anyone wanna make my dream come through i would be ever so happy! :D
  19. Hi, I downloaded this mod from here. I cannot find the original creator of this mod, I heard "Emyn" just disappeared. Please help me. The readme says in order to get started, at the start of the game w/ to begin this mod, I don't get why Tappius doesn't have a dialogue for me to get started! I mean, he just has the standard dialogues that everyone else has, you know? Please tell me? What do I do? Is there something I need beforehand? I don't get it? Help me out here, please? I have uninstalled better vampires 5 times and so far I still can't feed on dead bodies. So uh, I'm really new to this modding stuff so I just downloaded a bunch of stuff that looked neat and tossed it into NMM like a casserole consisting entirely of last night's left-overs and spending all of three minutes making sure there were no obvious conflictions. So with my mangle up mess of a meatball that I like to call NMM, I pressed Launch Witcher3 with my fingers crossed, hoping and praying that my PC wouldn't spontaneously combust right before my very eyes. Thankfully it didn't however, I was met with a very disgruntled Witcher 3 gasping for breath after what I had done to it. It was obviously very sick and began to vomit out various errors and warnings explaining what I had done to it. But I wasn't a doctor, how could I understand what it was trying to say!? So I am looking for someone with a Ph.D. in IhaveNoIdeaWhatIhaveDonePleaseHelp-onomics. If you do just ask and I'll plop something in here.I don't know if this helps but I am able to launch the game with only the cloak active but it doesn't actually work.Most of the active mods don't work when I deactivate the ones causing errors.If I just need to drop a bunch of the mods I'm fine with that. I'd rather have some than none. :p
  23. I've tried installing a bunch of different Ada costume mods and none of them are working. I've tried them with the "use Ada mods in separate ways" mod, and I've tried using the mods on there own. It never seems to work. It's really frustrating. My Leon and Ashley mods are still working.
  24. Haven't used Vortex in like 3 months. This is the first time it's ever happened. Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
  25. I have been having this issue for a while and it hasn't been an annoyance/ issue to me personally until I recently came back to fallout 4 after taking an extended break. I start a new game and find purple tires everywhere... I have tried validating my steam files to see if the texture was missing but it came back with nothing. I also attempted installing a higher texture mod for tires but it had no effect. If I remember correctly I was using the mod "Wasteland custome bike" at the time but when I started a new character I uninstalled the mod and I believe this was when I started experiencing purple tires. Does anyone have any idea/ suggestions on getting textures back on the tires scattered across the wasteland? Thanks!
