  1. I do not know if someone else has suggested it, but as you may gather from the title, I would like to see the ability to build BIGGER ships in Starfield. Allow me to explain. As soon as the game got out, people immediately started to recreate well-known spaceships across all the various medias. Posts everywhere practically exploded with people showing off "their" version of the 'Millennium Falcon', or the 'Normandy', or even the 'Batwing'. I too was also eager to see what I could create in the game. But, as one would expect, there were limits and building you favorite capital/carrier ships would not happen. I understand why limitations were made, as you have to be able to land your ship in a port and huge starships would just be to cumbersome to work around into the normal play of the game. But that has never stopped Modders before. So this is what I propose: A mod that gives you the option to create a "Capital Ship Class", or a ship that is larger that what can be currently made in Starfield, one where you can build a ship that could be 3x-4x bigger than normal. The obvious problem that comes to mind with this is you can't land it at any port or planet without problems occurring. So then what if this "Capital ship" doesn't land, and instead can only be used in "space", above the planets. And in order to get down to a planet or station you take a "shuttle", which could be any of the vanilla ships in game. I'm thinking just adding another button prompt to go back and forth from planet to ship. Ideally in this fantasy of mine, I would like the Capital Ship to be able to be piloted and fight, which means talking about Mass, engines, reactors, etc. A Capital Ship will likely need "upgraded" reactors, shields, thrusters, and engines; engines and thrusters in particular because of all the mass coming into play. I imagine adding new items that are the same as the vanilla models, but reskinned with updated stats to accommodate the needs of a Capital Ship. --- So that's my idea. I want to feel like I am a Captain piloting a large ship with multiple decks that acts like a mobile home base, hired full of crewmembers from various planets, and together explore the galaxy while daring your enemies to take you on in your ship. I do not think this will be easy, I do not think this will be a small mod, and I am sure as heck don't think I have all the solutions, but that's why this community exists. Give your ideas if you're not scared. Lets have a discussion. :smile:
  2. A post celebrating the New Year, modified and shared from Vendetta Online's forums to here. Since i'm sure very few are aware of VO, its a space MMO with FPS-centered controls and an orientation towards arcadey combat (unlike, say, E:D, which is closer to simulation style gameplay, or EVE which is more of a management simulation. Both great games in their own right too!). I (Luxen De'Mark, game moderator and modder for VO) am trying to push the community to use NexusMods a bit more for our 'plugins', given the current popular repository we use has no active maintainer (and I like some of Nexus's features). Likewise, it'd be cool if any of you come by and give the game a try, too! Available on PC, Mobile, and select VR platforms. The New Year Partyball is an event to welcome the New Year, being a simultaneous Trivia challenge and Buswar (A free for all combat event where pilots must use the earliest class of ship available), followed by a "lighting of the capital vessels". Many thanks to everyone for helping make our awesome community what it is~ For the trivia event, Adalwolf had the most "first" correct answers with 4, and won a 1-month game key and 400k credits (100k per correct first answer) For the buswar event, DylanH120 had the most kills at an amazing 32 (hot damn!) and won a 1-month game key and 320k credits (10k per kill) For the finale, myself and Twitchy dedicated capital vessels for the vessel "lighting", plus an accidental constellation I /killed; thanks for the contributions, NPCs, and to Twitchy! Twitchy also hosted a pinata party leading up to the last hour, so lots of additional prizes were handed out through that. For that, there were 5 total capships donated, plus a number of subcapital pinatas! Give Twitchy a HUGE round of applause for helping fill in the event for additional time and for helping me keep myself sorted!
  3. hi, while the Mod-backup-program was running, no file was displayed on c: (SSD 500GB). The program has occupied more than 100gb until nmm crashed. The problem is that the 100GB are still busy and no file can be found on c: and I haven´t enough space to start the program again. Where can I find the file. I have used the option for showing invisible files. Nothing. What can I do? Thanks a lot voyagerdeltaflyer
  4. Hey guys I have a two problems with how the levitate spell works in Morrowind. Firstly it displays the walk animation for the duration and secondly I cannot use my spacebar to float upwards and it's the same with swimming. It's really annoying, so since I didn't find any mods that would fix my problem and I have no clue of modding I decided to ask here for help. How would I get started with my idea, do you know any good resources / guides I could view to get started achieving my goal? Which tools should I download beside the CK especially since I wanted to do animations.

I have found that I have hit a wall early on in the game because of all the resources I have collected, for crafting a few things now and more stuff when I get more skills later on but I am running out of storage. If someone could make a mod for increasing the storage size of cargo bays for ships that would be great. Even if it was just double the amount, that would help. Eg. cargo bay holds 210, with the mod, it will hold 420.

  8. I've got this weird bug in a world space I created. For some reason there are large, rectangle chunks missing from the water surrounding the land. They appear out of nowhere. You can see right through them to the bottom of the map. You can swim through them even though there's no water there. If you approach the rectangles they change shape and get much bigger. The useable dimensions are X2055 and Y1830. It uses the default water. "Small World" is checked, unchecking it didn't change a thing. Does anyone know what could cause this?
  9. Hi, It's a pain to have to open the map to land on a planet when we are in front of the planet in our ship. Especially when we were on the same map to fast-travel without the possibility of landing 1min ago. Could a mod permet to press "E" in front of the planet to land? I wish I could do it myself but I can't code (-_-)'

Hello, though I have posted this issue in the VR section already, I am posting it here as well, as not many people will frequent the VR section, and this is a question that could be very well answered by someone knowledgeable who only mods for SE. So sorry for reposting. The original post: I'm working on a mod that involves drinking a sleeping potion, and before the player passes out, I want there to be some heavy visual impairment. For this purpose, I made modified versions of the dragon shout modifiers, going heavy on double and blurred vision. This works perfectly fine in SSE, but in VR, only the shade and brightness aspects of an image space modifier are ever applied. None of the other effects. Now, it is pretty clear that this was changed by Bethesda in their worry about us poor players not getting sick. And that may be the case for most players, but I have a steel stomach, and I can take anything for any period of time. Being sent on a ballistic trajectory by a giant? No problem for me. In fact, I enjoy it. So it is really frustrating for me that I can't enjoy the full trippieness of image space modifiers, especially in mods like Skyrim on Skooma. Now, as I see it, there are several possibilities of how the original modifiers could have been changed. Either it's some ini setting, or another (I found one but that one was set the same as SSE), or it is by replacement of some files in the bsa archives – if this is the case, I really don't know where to begin to look – or, worst case scenario, it's a change in the executable itself, in which case it's probably hopeless. Can anyone help?

  12. Currently there is a mod that has sails always out or sails never out, but it leaves the engine pods tucked in when never out. Looking to see if someone can make a mod that has the space flight like it is in Atmo, Engine pods in flight position, but no sails out. In theory it should be easy as the mechanic is already in the game for the in Atmo Flight, I just have 0 experience with NMS mod creation. I'm even willing to sponsor or commission someone to make it if needed.

I've found a few topics asking for the same thing, but none from 2021 (and all were just people saying "yea, I'd like this too!"), so, I just thought I'd put the idea back into the public consciousness. I just grabbed a 5th horse (not even the final horse I planned on getting after doing research (new player, btw)), assuming you could fill up EACH stable in the game (ie: they would operate like literal physical stables and not 1 single linked stable.....especially because they sell different horses...great consistency there). I was really surprised that there wasn't already such a seemingly simple mod on Nexus already :(

  15. Hello, one frustrating thing for me in fallout 4 is how smal some settlements are space wise. I was looking for a mod that expands settlement building space but couldn't find anything, i also tried to make one myself but i am not really prolific with modding these days, i fared better with previous bethesda games, not so much with fallout 4 unfortunately. If i could make such mod myself i would make all settlements much bigger, on par with spectacle island or maybe even bigger, so player could create small towns for their settlers Does anyone know of a mod that expands settlement's territory, as in, the space it controls and can build on? And if not, then can someone create such mod or help me do it? Examples of where more space would be useful would be hangman's alley for instance, any why isn't sanctuary hill's covering entire island? if it were up to me it would cover entire island and the river around so the outer side of the river would be the boundary. I think it is pretty obvious mod for anyone who likes the whole settlement managing aspect of the game, i know that it is not most people's favorite part, but i also know there are some (like me) that do like it, so there should be mods like this around, the lack of them would point that either i suck at searching (which is probably true) or maybe its just hard to create such a mod. If anyone knows anything about this id love to hear about it.
  16. Hey guys, i have a problem with NMM: I will explain my problem with an example: My hard drive has 100GB free space left. I install a mod which requires 200MB space. I play the game and don't like the mod. Now I uninstall the mod with NMM (btw I've downloaded the mod also via the NMM from the Nexus site) and the mod is gone...like it should be. The problem is, when I look into the explorer of Windows, the hard drive has still 99,8GB free space, so the 200MB don't come back after uninstalling the mod. And that is a big problem, because i have ~50 mods until now and there will be more in the future. So there is memory consumption for nothing... Can anyone help me with this problem?
  17. So I've been reading the elder scrolls wiki page on Secunda (Nirn's Smaller Moon) and I read that it's orbit is unstable and could end up crashing into Nirn. Then i had an idea. A quest mod about preventing Secunda from crashing into Skyrim. It could be a really good mod. It would start out with the Dragonborn noticing something strange abotu Secunda. It's growing in size, No... Getting closer. The quest then starts in a race against the clock (Unless your like me and constantly break away from quests to do other things) to save Skyrim and the surrounding Provinces from being obliterated by the moon... Also this idea is kind of inspired by Majora's Mask. Yeah.

  19. Hey guys, I'm seriously desperate for a star trek mod where the uniforms are added to the game! I'm a massive trekkie and I loved the fallout 3 and NV mods that added this. If anyone is able to do this... They would be a legend for life. LLAP Joe. PS.   20. Ok, so basically I have no real experience with creating mods, i can kinda mess with existing meshes but thats pretty much it, so thats why im here. The mod would be dlc size im assuming, the quest would be kinda long and centered around the enclave and the brotherhood (sorry institute players). The quest would manly be about how a falling spacecraft would be seen reentering the atmosphere by the player, the player would go to the location that pops up where it says it crashed, you gat there and its in pieces, with the main fuselage still intact but heavily damaged. Seeing that all the hatches to the ship are now melted shut you go to the brotherhood to see if you can get an engineer to come with you and cut it open, this is where a possible new companion is introduced, I was thinking female, about the same age as Maxon if not younger, and wanting to become a knight. So she goes with you and as you approach the craft she recognizes one of the symbols as the enclave, which scares her immensely. She opens a hole in the ship and only you go in, you see burnt corpses in strange uniforms resembling a Hazmat suit mixed with an enclave officers uniform, now the real thing that stands out are the two dead pilots in power armor, i was thinking a modified X-02 but with extra tubing, different helmet (more astronauty) and maybe white black and orange in color. this is when you invite her to come in and she finds multiple documents in one of the sealed compartments, they contain different mission briefings about the enclaves space station, and a project "Albatross". From there i dont really have much more planned out except you get to modify t-60 to survive in space, create a thruster pack that lets you move in space (also possibly let you do quick strafes on the ground like in Armored Core) and new weapons modification, like a high cap laser rifle mod that lets you use a fusion core. eventually the enclave come to the commonwealth to salvage whats left of there shuttle, the encounter the brotherhood there and the battle begins. later in the quest you find out how to board and steal an enclave shuttle and head to there space station. When you get there you find out they have been recovering multiple alien tech and using it to further there equipment. Another thing you come to learn is that "Albatross" is actually a ship, and when you board it right before it luanches from the station you also learn that it has the first warp drive on it (alien tech) and while your fighting the enclave the ship warps to mars, but aliens see the warp signature and a huge mothership appears, takes out some of the systems and then you destroy the mothership, you then have to EVA to fix up some of the ship (this is after you have already killed most of the enclave on it) and you warp back home and crash the ship back in the commonwealth. Thats all a really have so far. This mod would add a ton of new mechanics, quests, items, and NPCs. The CK would most definitely be needed along with multiple very skilled moders. Like i said i dont know much about moding but im willing to learn if it will make this happen. Theres also a ton of more stuff that could be added to this story, what i wrote is just the frame work.
  21. Hello all! I am Lazy Gamer. I am current just now starting on an idea of a home in space, now alot of you might think "Ehhh.. A home in space doesn't really fit fallout, etc." I know, sounds silly... BUT!! I had an idea and been dreaming about it non stop. I am in the progress of making a player home in space, Now, I'm not much for 3D modeling since I am pretty much just started learning... But I think I might make it like a miniaturize version of the USG Ishimura from Dead Space, but making it look.. Fallout Vault Tec themed...(The exterior and interior), I'm not sure on alot of details, but I am open to any suggestions... (The Ship: Hmmm.. Not sure what to make the model-EXTERIOR, look like. It's got to be.. I don't know.. Look.. like the Ishimura? Or I could make it look like the SSV Normandy from Mass Effect? Or Should I make it look like the Alien ships crashed on the planet? It's a matter of debate and what feels and looks right.) (Npc's?: I am not quite sure of this.. Should I add NPC's? Like staff or something? Let me guys know what could work in that category.) Like I said, If you guys have any ideas, pitch them at me! I'm open to any suggestions.

  23. I'm working on an extensive mod but I need not only a "clean" place to test different aspects of my project throughout developement but also somewhere for my mod to take place. I've gone through a few tutorials on how to create worldspaces, I understand how, my problem is my computer crashes to a Blue Screen of Death when editing worldspace in the Creation Kit so often I can make, literally, no progress at all on the worldspace. If someone can help me solve the crash problem, I'll put in the time to create the worldspace I desire myself otherwise: What I'm looking for is a large area with varying landscape with 15 hillside or plains areas. I'm not picky beyond wanting these 15 (mostly open) areas spreadout around the worldspace. I'm not looking for "Heaven on Tamriel," just a large worldspace with a dash of character that you'd enjoy exploring yourself. Interiors such as caves or the like are totally up to the creator. I'm fine with or without; total creative freedom to the designer. Feel free to hide your own "Easter Eggs" in the Worldspace if it pleases you. The more the designer likes what they put together the better as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully someone out there has a machine/Creation Kit that is functional enough, the free time and generous spirt to help me out here so I can move forward with my project. Credit will be given for every little bit of work put into this Worldspace throughout my mod. Please, please someone have the spare time and good will to help me out here. Valens Valdani
  24. Gems are beings from outer space that can shapeshift and can summon weapons with their magic each gem has their own weapon. ps... if you can can you make a fusion or at least if you find another gem you can fuse with them.
  25. I am trying to make a Korean sword (which looks somewhat similar to a Katana) as my very first mod but I am having a trouble.. I have followed from 11:18 of this tutorial here (www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hYHj2Dy49s) to finalize my project. (and save) Whenever I follow that tutorial, I am getting empty void or rather holes on my object like the picture I've attached below. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/t1.0-9/10481871_1444907422445230_7046955460971137043_n.jpg The side looks fine but the hilt and handguard are empty. I can't really put a texture on the emptiness.. I am using Cinema 4D Prime R14 and MudBox 2011 to apply textures. Are there any ways to remove those holes?
