  1. Hi! First request here so my bad if I do something wrong I haven't seen it anywhere, so here's my idea Since we know the NPCs are CPU hungry in this game, especially in cities.. Would it be possible to simply remove useless NPCs from towns, the ones that keeps disappearing and reappearing like ghosts constantly while not adding anything to the immersion but are still eating your CPU? Why not just keep only the important ones? Like merchants and quest givers! If a removal is impossible, would it be possible to make a mod that automatically put them in a dead state, so they go straight to the morgue and not mess up your frame rate ever again, without the need of your pawns or arisen to do the dirty work themselves Thanks for reading !
  2. There is an error in the game that occurs on some systems (Windows 10) from version 1.5.5 onwards. It consists of the audio stuttering at some random point in the game in progress and there are also fps drops (everything seems choppy). I tried everything, it seems that the only solution proposed on Steam is to use a 32-bit beta version (but that is not an option for me). I am opening this thread to see if someone could find the problem in question of the “audio crackling” that is not resolved in version 1.6. I exhausted all possible options
  3. I give up trying to fix Downtown Boston FPS drop. Those drop made my game so choppy and I couldn't stand it anymore so I concede to the true final boss of Fallout 4. I need a pointer on how to cap it at 30 please.
  4. A post celebrating the New Year, modified and shared from Vendetta Online's forums to here. Since i'm sure very few are aware of VO, its a space MMO with FPS-centered controls and an orientation towards arcadey combat (unlike, say, E:D, which is closer to simulation style gameplay, or EVE which is more of a management simulation. Both great games in their own right too!). I (Luxen De'Mark, game moderator and modder for VO) am trying to push the community to use NexusMods a bit more for our 'plugins', given the current popular repository we use has no active maintainer (and I like some of Nexus's features). Likewise, it'd be cool if any of you come by and give the game a try, too! Available on PC, Mobile, and select VR platforms. The New Year Partyball is an event to welcome the New Year, being a simultaneous Trivia challenge and Buswar (A free for all combat event where pilots must use the earliest class of ship available), followed by a "lighting of the capital vessels". Many thanks to everyone for helping make our awesome community what it is~ For the trivia event, Adalwolf had the most "first" correct answers with 4, and won a 1-month game key and 400k credits (100k per correct first answer) For the buswar event, DylanH120 had the most kills at an amazing 32 (hot damn!) and won a 1-month game key and 320k credits (10k per kill) For the finale, myself and Twitchy dedicated capital vessels for the vessel "lighting", plus an accidental constellation I /killed; thanks for the contributions, NPCs, and to Twitchy! Twitchy also hosted a pinata party leading up to the last hour, so lots of additional prizes were handed out through that. For that, there were 5 total capships donated, plus a number of subcapital pinatas! Give Twitchy a HUGE round of applause for helping fill in the event for additional time and for helping me keep myself sorted!
  5. Hello. I play on my modest low-end laptop with an integrated Intel HD Graphics and 4GB RAM. My game is modded and I have YUP, Unofficial Patch Plus, CASM (autosaving disabled), the newest 4GB Patch, NVSE, JIP, NVSR, ENBoost (without graphic tweaks) and NVAC installed. So far I have encountered 0 crashes (yay) and I usually have 50 fps, 30 in more busy areas, which is good enough for me. However sometimes I experience frame drops that usually fall to <10fps, which makes me feel like playing the game in slow motion. It will then normalize after some time, but the frame drops occur very frequently which is very annoying. I am using Windows 7, so I ignored every fix/guides that are said to be specific to Windows 10. I have tried saving and exiting the game while the frame drop is happening, and then I relaunched the game then continued the save, the fps drop did not reproduce. So I'm confident to say that the crashes aren't specific to a particular place/location. These slowdowns/frame drops could occur regardless of me indoor or outdoor, in a busy area or not. If I paused the game (by pressing "Esc" button) or opened my Pip-Boy, the fps will return to normal. Once I closed them though, the fps drop will return. The frame drops do not occur every fixed seconds/minutes. Instead they will occur more frequently as I play the game longer. I would usually exit the game then relaunch it again. In which I could enjoy playing in 50 fps before the drops started to come and go in a more frequent manner (then I would relaunch the game again... The cycle continues). This is my load order. Some esps are not activated because Wyre Flash suggested to do so when creating a Bashed Patch. I'm using Mod Organizer 2 as my mod manager. Do you have any suggestions for me to take care of the frame drops? Thank you for the help!
  6. Played in skyrim legendary release... In the beginning everything was good. But after a while it became very slow in the locations of the dungeons, especially the ancient Nords. How can this be remedied? :ermm:

Hello to anyone that reads this i'm having a rather odd problem I've never encountered before in all 1584 hours of playing skyrim. i've tried reinstalling it countless but as soon as i load on skse this occurs.When ever I launch skse, skyrim can't seem to keep an fps of 60, instead it drops to 31 then holds at 40 and stutters. When I launch it through the the launcher this problem stops. my retail version of oblivion has the exact same issue too. Also if needed my specs are the following: Processor Intel® Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 RAM 16 GB Hard Drive 1TB Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 17134), 64-bit
  8. I know there are many other posts about this, but i couldn't find a fresh one. Just wondering if anyone has a working solution because its starting to get really frustrating to disable-enable all my robots every time. I've tried to uninstall every mod one by one and starting a clean new save and it's still glitched. If there is nothing i might just download the remove sentry headlight mod and be done with it. ty for any help! (this is the glitch im talking about)
  9. Hello! Not long ago I decided to buy a gaming PC to experience Skyrim in high performance, but that was not to be. It boots up the game by the speed of sound, but right at the main menu (when the smoke appears) the fps drops down to 2-5. I've tried other games, newer, but it's the same problem. The start menu is at 50 and then in-game the performance dies. At this point I'm suspecting a bad combination for my PC or that it's some sort of setting somewhere. Another thing I did notice when I looked around the details is that I have 0GB dedicated VRAM. But I want some advise from others who know better about these things so, any help is appreciated. :) My specs: CPU: Intel Core i3-8350k CPU Cooler:DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 200T GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 Dual 6GB RAM: 8GB OC: Windows 10 SSD: Kingston 120GB A400 HDD: WB Blue1000GB Case: Antec P8 Performance
  10. So while I'm running my game I'm using ~30-40% of my CPU and 25-30% of my RAM/GPU, but I'm still having FPS dips. It mostly happens in cities in game, but will occasionally happen in the wild around Skyrim. When I enter into a building the game starts running at 60FPS. Outside/Cities: 15-20 FPS Dungeons: 40-45 FPS System Specs: Windows 10 CPU: AMD FX-8350 4GHz 8-Core GPU: 8GB Radeon RX Vega RAM: 24 GB DDR3 1600 I am running it through Mod Organizer v2.1.4. I don't even know where to look to begin digging into the issues. Any ideas?
  11. So my game is at 60 fps but it lags crazy. It happened after my first dungeon quest in Solstheim with Frea. I don't have many mods and I don't think they are causing this problem. ( I don't use any graphic-enhancing mods) Btw, is there a way to use more RAM?? I've done several things but it only goes up to 4.4 gb.
  12. Hello, first of all my setup: GTX1070, I7-7700, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10. I have a big variety of mods installed. Now: I experienced FpS problems in my newer save in front of Riverwood. It drops to about ~48 FpS. If I take a new save (with same mods) I have about ~58 - 59 FpS. The taskmanager doesn't confirm that there is a bottleneck. My resources are about ~70% in GPU, ~55% in CPU and about ~60% in RAM used. I thought scripts could be the cause but even after I cleaned the save I have the same problem still. I'd really love some help here. Thank you!
  13. So, I've read everywhere about people having frame drops down to like the 30 range. I've been playing this on PC since it came out and I've never come across any issue like this. It's not random at all, it happens on the quest where I'm trying to find the institute courser at about 52%. I've loaded the game with no mods and it works so it's an issue with one of my mods. After like two hours of trying to disable different ones I think it may be, I've got no luck. I modded the game use 14 or so mods. everything was fine until i entered (-devmode) into steams launch options to use the Cheat mod from nexus, now the games stutters like crazy and fps is sitting at like 10! Ive uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. im out of ideas please for the love of god help me!!!

Hey guys, this is my third time cleanly uninstalling fallout nv and all associated mods and restarting the modding process and finally got the structure and stability working really well, only problem is, im getting like 6 frames per second, ive tried all of the other tricks and patches i need some good advice and info, all help is welcomed i have like 86 active mods. what are some mods that, when running together, slow down the game, what kinds of mods slow down the game? stuff like that

Problem - Despite my specs, Plugin and mod organizing, patches and fixes, my performance in game is still pretty low despite people with lower specs able to run more mods than me, easier and more stable. I run around 40-50 avg. with all mods enabled, with ENB. ultra settings at 2k. dropping as low as 30 from time to time. There was a point i ran 60fps locked, dropping lowest to 55fps in whiterun. this was with my ENB as well i believe. this was right before finishing my modlist. but it's been a while. so im not entirely sure. I'll also mention i tried using BethINI as well. which only worked when i set my settings to low, turning off nearly all effects. but with mods i have around 55-60. My main goal is to have it run 55-60fps average, 2k ultra settings, with the majority of my mods. maybe a few more later down the road. mostly cosmetic. but i've tried all the basics, Organizing, plugin fixes, Fps improving mods, nothing has worked. Hello ! so... about a month ago, i started having troubles on my laptop, so after trying all the solutions i could think of, i decided to restore windows ( deleting everything in the process), now the laptop works just fine, and all my other games seem to work fine, but oblivion for some reason isn't, before i could play flawlessly with graphics maxed out at 60 fps ( i even used an enb), almost no drops (except in some heavy areas or modded areas ), now when i start the launcher it says that my recomended graphics are medium ( it used to say ultra high), and when i start in medium the game runs at 30 fps with drops, it also says i'm using a Geforce 9600gt ( that's total bs!, i'm using a gtx960m ) why did this happen? is there a solution? ... thanks in advance ( i'm spanish, sorry if my english makes little sense) Update (if anyone cares) : i decided to uninstall the game and reinstall it.... now it detects my videocard but it still puts the default graphics at medium and now it doesn't even open, it just starts and by the part the bethesda and zenimax logos come out a window appears " oblivion.exe has stopped working"
  18. i wrote tutorials for fallout 4 and skyrim bringing up some experiences and dependencies regarding performance, modding, setup and stability. my tutorials are buried under the mass of many mods. many questions and mods show that some game engine and interface limitations of open world games, especially the bethesda ones, using dx9 and dx11 interface, are still not common knowledge. this article is intended to make interested people aware how to understand and handle games like fallout, skyrim and oblivion and their limitations, how to apply thoughtful modding and to lower the risk to accidentally screw up your game. you are invited to help me to correct or add information if something is wrong or missing or to make people more aware. i managed over time to get all these games - including many mods - to work stable with delivered updates and fixes! so if anyone complains about these games the source is not the game but the way how it is treated and managed. the bethesda open world since oblivion and fo3 relies on a modified gamebryo engine or framework. depending on the version there exist bottlenecks especially regarding modern windows related graphics hardware, so called fps drops even with capable hardware based on rendering or draw call bottlenecks. these bottlenecks or limitations are more and more obvious with the use of higher resolutions, modding or other measures scratching the game engine limits. you cannot indefinitely raise resolution or the number of mods without reaching a hard limit of the game and graphics interface. if you do so you will encounter fps drops and stutter even with high end hardware if the software interface bottlenecks. that is the reason why new games are developed with new game engines and for example flight simulators and all new open world games get support for newer interfaces like dx12 or vulkan to reduce the risk of graphics interface related bottlenecks. the problem is - that will not happen for older games like fallout 4, skyrim, displaying a big and complex open world even more complex enriched with (many) mods. these games will probably always be limited by the dx11 (or dx9) interface, with only minimal support for multithreaded rendering and multithreading at all - which means there will be always a bottleneck between hardware components like cpu and gpu regardless of the core number of a cpu. shfting skyrim from 32bit dx9 to 64bit dx11 is an exception. still graphicswise limited but a huge step to overcome 4GB memory limitation and related stutter and instability. oblivion, fo3 and fnv still suffer from this 32bit limit and an enboost dependency which helps to overcome the 32bit limitation and ctd while introducing stutter even on high end hardware. with that in mind you can imagine that modding and optimizing a game has its limitations. this is especially true for mod collections, a bundle of mods. just keep that always in mind for people who do not own the newest next gen cpu. if you like to read some more about open world game specific limitations and the influence of modding check these links and also the links in the tutorials. xrayys sse frame drops ctd knowledge base xrayys fo4 performance and fps tutorial thank you for your interest!
  19. Hi, Had some great advice from here in the past, and you guys are much better at this than me, so thought I'd reach out again. I've put a TL;DR at the bottom. I'm the author of Midwood Isle and as part of the update I am planning. The mod has always had some issues with lag, so I'm looking for some advice. I think its related to the mod being an ESM. I created the mod as an ESP in the LE CK, then turned it into an ESM using the ESMify script for xEdit. Below is what I found when testing the FPS: I think the reduced fps and lag spikes are due to the mod being an esm. The only reason I can think of is that (to my knowledge) an esp loads everything as persistent, whereas an esm has everything temporary and loads it in as you see it. That should in theory cause it to run faster, (so no idea why its slower) but it could explain the lag whilst exploring (loading the new cells). Regardless, I have no idea how to prevent this. With the mod being as big as it is, as well as issues like the grass and sky bug which affect esp files, I'd like to have the mod run smoothly as an esm, but I can't think how.   21. Could anyone help me boost my FPS for CP2077? I'm currently running between 20 and 40 fps but ultimately want that buttery-smooth look lol. My monitor is a 2K monitor (Sceptre 2560x1440 @ 85Hz).Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor - 3.40 GHzInstalled RAM: 16GBI don't have any software for Ray-tracing so I'm not sure if that helps or anything (I'm still a newbie when it comes to PC gaming and specs, in case you couldn't tell lol). If you could provide all of the settings specifics I'd greatly appreciate it!

This is a new one and just started to occur around level 30 several things start happening: walking slows to a crawl while armed - no issue when gun is put away and NO - CAPS KEY IS OFF; any combat while aiming the game freezes momentarily -possibly unfreezes when stop aiming - hard to tell this only happens in combat. Firing at a wall, etc works fine FPS stutters madlyBefore reaching around level 30 there are no issues with walking, combat or FPS stutters. Other play throughs have been okay My system is fine as mentioned never had this sort of problem I thought it might be Immersive Fallout - movement.esp, but turning off mod makes no difference and it has been in my order for some time. I have been using ENBoost with force memory size on (have 32gb + 8gb on video card) but on or off doesn't seem to change things. Looking at FO4edit or Wyre Bash or even Loot doesn't offer any help and my load order seems stable enough (use MO2) My only guess is possibly a Level list interfering with game or maybe a rogue mod. Anyhow if someone has a thought appreciate the feedback......
  23. Just doing a casual playthrough and after the various frame stuttering solutions I've employed on the game, I'm now experiencing some very rough frame pacing issues in chapter 7. More specifically, around the sector 5 slums, Aerith's house and the monster areas when you leave the church. I've been trying everything I can to get a frame counter going through MSI afterbuner, but I cannot for the life of me get it to work. All I can say is panning the camera around the outside of Aerith's house and running through slums and surrounding areas produces pretty noticeable frame pacing problems. I'm using the following mod for stutter issues in the game. https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/139 I've jumped around chapters and I don't notice the same issues that I'm seeing here in chapter 8. I'm seriously hoping I don't get the same issues when I get to wall market! Just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone has experienced anything similar and if they had any potential solutions. My system for reference: - i7-8700k - Asus Strix 1080ti, 11GB VRAM - 32GB DDR4 RAM
  24. Guys has anyone seen a mod that would add an FPS counter in the corner of the screen ? Or know a trick on how to turn that on in the game ? I cant seem to find an overlay app that would count fps in this game for me :o
