  1. I am not a modder. I am simply a mod user (Skyrim). That in itself has become a complicated hobby. I have ~160 mods and ~100 plugins and I use NMM, Loot, Merge Plugins minimally, and Wryebash minimally. I've watched Gopher videos, Gamer Poet videos, Dirty Weasel videos etc etc. It is all a bit foggy. There needs to be a modding 101 somewhere that explains the file structure of [bethesda] mods since this is so important to load order, what, when and how to remove mods, update mods, merge mods, etc etc. Now if someone can point me to such a place fine. If not then, at the risk of supreme boredom and much rolling of eyeballs, I would like to ask someone to please explain the different mod file types and how those relate to manipulating mods (for the user, not the modder). For example what is the difference between an .esm and .esp? Why do graphic mods that have basically meshes and textures need an .esp? If I remove a graphics mod that overwrote my vanilla meshes and textures are the old files still there? And that evil scripting. How do we know which mods have scripts? I look in the preview file contents and look for .pex files is all I know. There are complicated instructions on dealing with these - the general word is once installed don't uninstall - simply retreat to a save prior to installation if you must. Many mod authors do not include specific uninstall - unactivate - reinstall (needed to reactive a FOMOD if something that interacts has changed) - update instructions so one wonders how to do all that with any given mod. And lastly for this starting post is the complexity of mod interaction and the innumerable patches. This increases one's .esps geometrically and begs for merging. Ah yes which files can I merge? Enough. I'll see if anyone helps out. I'll try Gopher and Gamer Poets again meanwhile - maybe the STEP site. Thanks in advance.
  2. I tried to download the texture mod "Noble Skyrim" but the file isn't a proper file that can be entered and explored and such. It's just some kind of file that when opened brings up some sort of command thingy with a black background. I think this may be because of 7.zip but I don't really know :/ Please help
  3. Hello! Does anyone have a legit save level 125 or less with all in-game items for PvP to share? Thank you!
  4. Hi ,After defraging mhw using razorcortex the game cannot access chunk file and does not give any error ,just closes after 2sec . The file is undamaged and in its proper location , but the quicksfv says file doesn't exist . How can i fix it without reinstalling?
  5. Hello, I need help with this particular function, I'm a fairly seasoned modder, but have never used this one before, I figured it wouldn't be too hard, but it's throwing all kinds of errors my way, is it my implementation? The Code: My Papyrus Log: It keeps returning 151211165 whenever I try and get the FormID of any formlist attached to a AmmoList in the AmmoType structs, I'm confused, but maybe it's something really simple I'm just not seeing, or maybe I'm just doing it wrong, I'm not sure, but any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Hello, I need help with this particular function, I'm a fairly seasoned modder, but have never used this one before, I figured it wouldn't be too hard, but it's throwing all kinds of errors my way, is it my implementation? The Code: My Papyrus Log: This particular line: [09/29/2023 - 01:18:18PM] [Requiem:Main <RequiemMain (09034C65)>]: 151211165Happens every time I try and print the FormID of any formlist attached to AmmoType.AmmoList, I'm out of ideas honestly, but maybe it's something simple I'm just not seeing.
  7. Title says it all, pretty much. I've tried doing it myself, but it's not showing up in game even after following several different tutorials. I'm just trying to change the color of Kassandra's eyes and hair to green and make her skin slightly more pale. For Deimos, I'm wanting to basically give him Hades' eyes, extremely pale skin, and make him bald. I'm wanting Myrinne to have bright blue eyes, paler skin, and blonde hair. Finally, Pythagoras. Still pretty simple. Just wanting to make his skin paler and make his eyes basically Hades' eyes but with blue irises but he'll still have the black sclera like Hades. Any help would be appreciated, thank you all!!!
  8. I dont know if it would be possible, but can someone make a multiplayer safe save file that has enough runes for level 150 with all the talismans, weapons, sorceries and items, but with nothing defeated yet? I want to play through the game trying new builds without investing hundreds of hours into the game.
  9. Hi. Vortex keeps giving me this error message when I click to manage Fallout 4 mods. Every time I click "give permission", this message just immediately reappears. Please help. Thanks!
  10. I might be missing something really obvious, but when I'm using Vortex to install Stardew Valley mods, it's putting everything in the Mods folder, when some of the mods have overrides that have to go into the Data folder instead (.xnb - eg. new character textures). Does Vortex have a way of doing this that I'm missing, or am I supposed to manually move these files?
  11. So I got a bunch of mods after downloading new vegas on to my new computer and anything that has to do with visuals being changes results in error messages and icons. The functions work, but all I see anywhere is red exclamation marks where mods should be. I think it has something to do with file locations, but I have no clue what i'm doing, I'm positive it isn't a load order issue because I've seen the same thing even when mods are singled out and played.
  12. Hello guys. I am new here. Glad to join the community! I am looking for a Outlook conversion software. Need to convert my mails to pst format file. Could someone please recommend a good one, preferably free, to do that? Windows 7 Dell Inspiron 14z. Many thanks, Kevin.
  13. This may be a really dumb question but I've been trying for hours to get the MSGO mod to work on Morrowind GOTY which I just downloaded from Steam. I've disabled the Steam overlay and extracted the file where it should go but when I bring up the MSGO setup in administrator and click next, it shows that the Morrowind.exe file is missing. I canceled the setup and checked the Steam/Steamapp/Morrowind folder and there is no file that I can find anywhere labeled as Morrowind.exe. What have I done wrong? I'd really appreciate any help and suggestions! I've already reinstalled the game and the MSGO file several times and nothing has changed. I hope I didn't buy a Steam copy for nothing. I already own the Xbox version of the game and bought the Steam version just for this mod. :-( Thanks!
  14. apparently i can't upload my save files because nxs is a failure. i installed mods and uninstalled them. then i tried to play and it said 'relies on objects no longer present' which is ok, but then i played and f***. the screen was flashing black and my character was sometimes shortly glitch-teleporting across the land, when i raised my weapon i couldn't see it but i had the weapon-holding animation. yet i couldn't attack as when i clicked nothing happened. this happened with every save file that i modded and i have no idea what mods i used, i think i should have to reinstall them to play the save. but since i deleted them they're gone so is my save f***ed? i was level 200 ffs and even married myself. should i just let it go like i let down my life ? i mean i even counted the f***ing steps to high hrothgar so that i could post it somewhere on some forgotten forum no one's even gonna read. will my poor dovahkiin forget how many houses he owns ? i mean he owns more than me and should be proud, he even has a bunch of maids. there were also apparently no logs and i can't find any anywhere and now i'm scared that whenever i load a save i corrupt it. so far i only loaded one and failed like i once loaded my gun to blast me off this cursed world and failed aswell. so how do i save my file nexus bros ?
  15. I made a mod that's basically a vampire mod. It has like a perk, some potions, and some scripts. For some reason CK decided it needs Settlement Keywords. I honestly have no clue why. SK has now been replaced with SKE. Is there some way I can track down why my mod (that to my knowledge doesn't mess with the settlement system) says it needs SK? What I'm reading in the docs for SKE talks about adding stuff to the settlement menu by adding keyword, and I definitely didn't change the settlement menu.
  16. I extracted all the Meshes nifs from the Oblivion- Meshes- .bsa file, and I'm looking for a way to convert these nifs so that I can load and use them in the Creation Kit for Skyrim, so that I can recreate static scenes from the Oblivion game. Can someone link me to a tutorial already made for this? Point me in the right direction? Better yet, if you know a program or technique I can use to accomplish this, it would be awesome-sauce. I've seen two things so far that supposedly are used to do this- https://github.com/Ormin/skyblivion-NIFConverter -This is called 'Ormin' on Github- I'm a noob, I have no idea how to use it- so if someone knows how to work it with Python, and can link me to a tutorial or send me instructions, would be awesome. https://www.blender.org/ -And then of course, Blender, which I've been told can convert Skyrim/Oblivion/Fallout etc. nifs using a Nifskope plugin for nif files to be loaded and edited on the program- again, I have no idea how this works or how to work it, if someone could link me to a tutorial page, or can explain how to do it, I would be very grateful. -If someone could also tell me what I need to do to get the Textures from the Oblivion-Textures.bsa file, to work with the converted nif files in Skyrim, that would be great. Thanks
  17. Hi there, just a small suggestion or request for help. Nexus is robust... a particular feature isn't "missing" per se but I'm noticing how it would certainly aid me in my current modding experience. I've noticed that I need to give people some important information before they download. I can't say it's necessary for every mod out there, but clearly people are not reading the description page, downloading and encountering a problem that is mentioned in the description they chose not to read. By the time they've read it or been told to read it, it's generally too late - they've saved their game many times between then and now and reverting back is a pain. Again probably not an issue with the majority of mods, but the nature of this bug is one time I would definitely choose to leave some forced important notice for downloaders. Is there a step, or could there be a step included in file requirements like "Important Notice" or such? This way I could slip in what they need to look out for when using the mod and they'd be forced to OK that information. This will also reduce the number of times I need to write "read the description" in the mods users comments... I guess "Read the desc" is today's form of "Read the manual"... a lot of people choose not to. If there's any current way to make this important info pop up (it doesn't look like you can manipulate the file requirements settings to do so) please let me know. Thanks Nexus!
  18. i like geralt very much, but i can not make him by ece well, what i made is unlike him. can somebody help me to do that??
  19. I recently uploaded a radio mod to the nexus only to have people say they can't hear anything. Apparently I had not packed the sound files and the tutorial I had been following does not specify how to do this. How do you pack audio files into an .esp file?
  20. As the topic title suggests I am having trouble downloading mods that are 100 Megabytes or greater in size (ex: Tamriel Reloaded HD, Skyrim Flora Overhaul Regular Edition, etc. ). I use NMM and when I download the mod, it appears to download successfully until it reaches about 97% completion then I get an error stating the file is incomplete. I retry the download and it appears to finish but when I try to activate the file, it stops after a certain percentage and says there was a problem installing the mod (specifically that the mod is corrupted and NMM was unable to activate the mod). I have tried downloading the mods several times but to no avail. I then tried downloading manually but I get an "Unexpected End of Archive" error. I repair the archive and it appears to have recovered the lost files but they are corrupted and don't show up in game properly (aka as very faint purple "texture"). This just started about a week ago, I haven't had trouble downloading large files (100 MB+) before and from the same location I'm at now. So what could be the issue? Antivirus? Actually corrupt files? Bad Server? Thanks in advance to whoever can help.
  21. i've got a file i uploaded to the nexus and i've updated it a few times now. i've currently got a choice between two different main files. the one i want to be the main file for the nmm manager is version 1.10 but on the page it's saying that the latest version is 1.00. i've tried to set the v.1.10 to the main nmm file with the star icon under files but that doesn't seem to do anything. can someone tell me how to fix this?
  22. Hi, I was playing with scripts and by mistake I deleted file "damageManager.ws". Can someone upload this file here? I would be grateful.
  23. Hi, By mistake I edited file "damageManager.ws" and I can't run a game. Can anyone upload this file here for me? I would be grateful.
  24. I want to edit the paraphrase text in the dialogue wheel. I found that the text is located in the .tlk files. I used ME3Explorer to transform the biogame .tlk file into an .xml and modified all the text I wanted. Now, I suppose I have to to transform that .xml back into a .tlk but what comes after that? I also want to edit some of the From Ashes's .tlk files, but how do I override those? The mod folder has the game's BIOGame folder structure, right? I suppose I have to create a folder named DLC inside my mod's folder and create another folder inside it for the From Ashes's files. The mod folder would look like this: mod folder -> CookedPCConsole -> BIOGame_INT.tlk -> DLC -> DLC_HEN_PR -> CookedPCConsole -> DLC_HEN_PR_INT.tlk I hope I made myself clear. I got this far on my own but now I'm stuck.
  25. So I created a custom modification for an item, but I don't know anywhere to insert it. Its classified as an OMOD under the catagory "Object modification" Its not a complex thing, so how do I insert it?
