  1. I'm honestly disappointed at how weak the Black Knife is, especially given what it was used for. Again, I don't know how to do it myself, so a tutorial in how to do it would be fine if it includes how to actually add the changes to the game. But if someone else is willing to do it, basically, all I want is for the Black Knife to be the strongest dagger in the game (both when un-upgraded and when fully upgraded). It doesn't need to be stronger than any other weapon. Just the strongest dagger. Basically, do the most damage of any of the daggers. Even better if it can done in such a way so as to not need the regulation.bin so it's mergeable with anything, but it's okay if not.
  2. Howdy, So I have tried to make a go at the Creation Kit and other modding tools to try and create a weapon repositioning mod. There are plenty for dual sheaths and such, but I have yet to find one which focuses on Daggers. I am sure my fellow Assassin Role Players would agree that having a drop leg sheath for their Dagger(s) would be pretty tasty. I know there is the like of the XP32 which combined with Racemenu should allow you to change some weapon positions about, but I am having no luck. I spent a total of 7 hours trying to get everything to marry up well (along with downgrading SKSE). If there are any modders out there who would be able to assist or think this might be a nice addition to bring to the community I would greatly appreciate any and all support/advice! Many thanks!

I've ported this mod to skyrim SE using CAO: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54425 It works like a charm, there is a minor thing but that doesn't really bother me as it's only visible in first person. ( When looking down, I can see the bolt quiver on the ground but I'm not going to fire a bolt at my feet anyway) I was really glad I could stand to use a crossbow for a change but then I noticed it.....>_< This mod also changed the position of daggers back to the vanilla spot. Before daggers were carried like swords due to this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/440?tab=description Version 1.1.0 Here comes my question; I really want to use the Aesthetic bolt quiver mod but I just can't stand the look of the vanilla placement of daggers. I don't really know how to do it, but I want to edit this mod for myself so that I can place daggers next to the bolt quiver on the left hip. Crucially without the use of XP32 Maximum skeleton, the "Aesthetic bolt quiver" mod also doesn't use this. I'd really appreciate some tips and/or help! P.S. don't mind my poor paint skills

  6. I had immersive FP on and my cursor was having a hard time pointing at a Trap Trigger by a door. I redied my weapon since my configure switches to vanilla FP when I do and I pulled out a dagger. Then it hit me: What if lockpicking requires a dagger in order to activate? I mean, where do you think the dragonborn even pulled out a dagger to lockpick when it ain't in the inventory to begin with. This is a simple mod where you at least need to carry a dagger of any type to begin lockpicking. I hope someone out there can make this simple mod a reality.

  11. THE PROBLEM The mods I've seen so far in this regard don't seem to grock at what I'm specifically aiming for. They're too...'wordy'. You don't get a sense that you're actually robbing people, just popping a dialogue box for it, and that kinda kills the 'mood'. THE REQUEST A mechanic where when you are in sneak mode and crawl up to an NPC, the option to pickpocket appears, but if you're equipped with a dagger and unsheath it, it changes to 'rob'. Upon selecting it, the 'cut throat' animation appears, but stops at the knife being placed at the throat, where a prompt would then show with appropriate dialogue options, such as demanding gold/information/surrender/etc. All would have a stat check for intimidation and failing would have the victim loose themselves and attack you, but success would allow you to grab everything you would've had to role a die for with pickpocket. After you're finished, you'd have the option to kill the victim and the kill animation would complete or release them, upon which a die roll would determine whether they run away or attack you. For further immersion (and having no clue if it's even possible), I'd recommend adding an intimidation bonus to daggers since that's all the victim will see/feel of you and the ability for items in the victims inventory to have their 'stolen' status removed depending on you're intimidate stat...or have perks devoted to it.
  12. I am trying to come up with an enchantment for a reward weapon for my mod. I have bounced around a few ideas but I could use some more input. Small back story(still very underdeveloped): you bring ingredients and a filled black soul gem to a guy who was ordered by the daedra to craft this dagger. The list of ingredients will be related to the enchantment. Ok so for the enchantment and weapon... It is a dagger (custom model curtsy of suffed_down) called Blade of Peril. It will not require to be charged (like Mehrunes Razor) and it will also get more power full as you kill. I am thinking of restricting it to work on NPC's and maybe draugr/falmar only, so the enchantment will not work on animals etc. Also I want to restrict it to working if the target doesn't have soul trap cast on it, the daedra is empowering the dagger and so souls must go to him. I do not want to make an OP weapon, but I want it to be worth using for X amount of kills to max out the enchantment (which by the way doesn't have to max out). These things I'm pretty set on the way they are. But for the effects of the enchantment I would like some extra input. Originally I thought about doing magicka and stamina damage. With a base of 10 each evolving to 60 each. Another thought was a poison effect (drain health over 5sec) and it just increases in magnitude. That's all I have really came up with so far. I wouldn't be apposed to making a new magic effect for this if I am capable or explained how to. How strong does this need to be so that you would actually consider using it frequently? What sort of effects do you want in a dagger? What is the most amount of kills before the last stage is reached? Keep in mind that you do not have to recharge this and that daggers are fast so you can trigger the effects more. Thanks everyone! Edit: I forgot to mention the base damage bits. Base is 10 (ebony dagger) but it has a crit damage of +17 which equals it out to around a daedric great sword. Currently the crit chance mult is 1.25. The chance to deal a heavy hit is a big upside to this weapon that I forot to mention about. I have also thought of just leaving it at that and making damage go up or having the crit chance increase as you kill.

  14. I'm going to make a quest mod, and I was thinking of letting you people tell me what do you think of the idea behind it. It goes like this: The quest revolves around the mystery of The Dagger Lady, a legendary woman who is said that no one has ever laid a hand on her. People talk that she is as fast as the wind itself. A shadow in the mountains, who her only weapons are daggers. That's the only thing you see, and the only thing you feel. Many have challenged the Dagger Lady, and no one has defeated her. And the ones that challenged her to the death... had never returned. You, as the Dragonborn, decide to take on the challenge of defeating her, but since the rumors seem to be too serious, you first have to train in order to face her. On that journey, you encounter an orc named Nagok, who tries to interfere in your quest to defeat her. He wants to be the only one that has been a true challange to this legendary woman. Nagok claims to have hurted the Dagger Lady in a fight to the death; but since he is still alive, no one believes him. But once you see the Dagger Lady herself, you notice that she is covering the left side of her face with her hair, like trying to hide something. And then it is... when you notice a scar on her left side of her face... The quest will feature custom NPCs, locations, and armor and weapons from other mods. It will not be too lore-friendly since the character of the Dagger Lady has some kind of superpowers like not taking falling damage and moving really fast.
  15. What if you could wield arrows like a dagger. They're sharp and pointed. Why not plunge it into chest of a bandit or two. They can be held in hands, sorta like a dagger (Hint Hint). Imagine this, you're going though a dark and dank bandit infested cave. The bandits seem to be moving around a lot. You can't take aim and shooting would alert them to your presence. You pull out an arrow and palm it, making your way down to a single bandit "guarding" the entrance, drinking mead. You slip from behind him and plunge a single arrow through him. You didn't waste a shot. You repositioned yourself and now you can take out the rest. I got this idea from this little picture right here. If anyone would be willing to make this, I'd be thankful.
  16. Personally, I think the Ebony weapons are some of the most elegant looking weapons in the game...except for the dagger. My word, the dagger is hideous. It looks more like a rough draft of the Orcish dagger that they scrapped because it wasn't ugly enough. Seriously, why doesn't the blade have a nice, elegant curve to it, like the Ebony sword and greatsword? The weapons of each set should complement one another. Sadly, the Ebony Dagger does nothing for the other Ebony weapons. So, anyone interested in giving the Ebony Dagger much-needed makeover? Mind you, I'm talking about more than just better textures. It really needs a new mesh. The blade has an ugly shape to it, and the handle is plain and uninspired. Personally, what I have pictured in my head is something akin to an Ebony Sword with the overall length of a dagger. However, if someone wants to undertake this, I won't let my mental picture spoil theirs.

  18. For some reason, the guards in my game are using daggers as their melee weapon when they have short swords in their inventory! Here is my mod list, and yes, I have used wyrebash and made a bashed patch, done my tes5 cleaning, ran boss, etc. This is the ONLY issue with my game right now, any idea what mod is causing this?   19. I was wondering if someone could make a fairly-simple Assassin's Creed style hidden blade weapon mod. I already know there is a hidden blade mod already made (found here), but it is so far buggy, bulky, and not getting very many updates. So I have an idea for a better (and simpler) version, but lack the skills to make it. Basically take an iron dagger blade(just the blade) and stretch it to about 2/3 the length of a nord's forearm. When drawn the blade basically "floats" in front of the user's wrist, with just a bit of it reaching the wrist and forearm itself. When sheathed, the blade symply dissappears (if you can make the game sheathe it like an axe or mace that would be amazing). Now for the illusion/fun part. Make a sort of simple metal box rouphly the length of the blade. Make the box hug the inside of the forearm, but not too snug to avoid clipping. Have it also cover the base of the blade. Now we have a simple two-part hidden blade! Please reply if you wish to make it.
  20. Before the game was released the developers said they will give us dual wield warrior, but such option didn't appear. I ask some talented mod makers to give warrior ability of dual wielding. Is anyone interested?
  21. Just an idea, I was wondering if someone could make this. What it would look like would have to be a powerful retex of the daedric dagger. here is the planned recipe: 1x Daedric Dagger 2x Nightshade 2x Ebony ingot Or it can be found at front of the twilight sepulcher. This is how I want the stats Damage: 18 weight: 3 value: 1000 gold enchantment:Absorb 10 points of health and stamina And thats how I want it, thanks for taking the time to read my request :)
  22. I've seen mods that make dagger have the same perks as maces (ignore armor) or swords (improved critical strikes), but I was thinking they could have a unique ability. If this is too hard to mod I understand since I don't know much about modding. I was thinking they could have one perk upgraded three times just like mace/axe/sword. I don't know exact values since I haven't been playing Skyrim long enough to know what would be balanced, but here is an example: 1 point - attacks with dagger 15% quicker and power attacks use up 20% less stamina 2 point - attacks with dagger 30% quicker and power attacks use up 40% less stamina 3 point - attacks with dagger 45% quicker and power attacks use up 60% less stamina

  24. Help wanted! I've just started a new game with the Skyrim Unbound Mod. I'm playing as a low level nord thief - with no magic or shouts. I like the smaller size of the Iron dagger, and the lack of a bulky scabbard. But I want a silver version for backstabbing Vampires and ghosts. Can anyone redo the texture on the Iron dagger, to make the blade a more reflective Silver color??? Bonus points if you can make the little leather sheath and the handle slightly darker to distinguish it from the regular Iron daggers. I've already worked out the stats for my Silver Dagger on my own, and I added the "Silver enchantment". But I'm a total Zero for the artistic side.
