  1. I've run across a problem which I'm sure is born of my own ignorance. I've altered the appearance of many of the unique NPCs (companions etc.) but I run across a problem with a particular class of NPC, the most obvious example of which is the two minutemen who assist in taking The Castle but also with some unique Far Harbour settlers (but not unique vanilla settlers). I alter their appearance in the creation kit (they have an entry and a unique appearrace as far as I can tell) as I have with other NPCs but it won't take effect in game. They are also immune to looksmenu. What is happening here? If another mod was also working to retain their appearance wouldn't NMM tell me? Are they untalerable because they use a template and if so how does this work?

Hello so I will start from the beginning I want to add a four poster bed to skyrim but I want the Mesh to have different Material Sounds corresponding with that specific part of the mesh for example. the bed frame sounding like wood and the blanket sounding like cloth the bed is on whole mesh with selectable parts on it. I understand Chunk Merge is supposed to be able to do it so depending on what you name each NiTriShape for example the bed frame to SKY_HAV_MAT_HEAVY_WOOD and then name the blanket to SKY_HAV_MAT_CLOTH âand then using chunk merge to generate collision the actual mesh would then have two materials on those parts. âBut it wont work for me I generate the collision fine but those areas do not have their own sounds. so I don't know what I am doing wrong. I will upload two Nif files one is the actual Four Poster Bed. and the optimized one with all names changed to collision Materials.   5. Hello I am creating My own WorldSpace but I am having trouble Making the World Map Terrain LOD looking correct. First of I have Used Oscape: Also including SSLODGEN: And neither sort out the LOD Texture properly so I really need help setting it up Properly I have attached a few images one image is showing my Character stood near some Grassy hills and another one showing me using TFC to look at the same hill with its LOD Terrain texture and you will notice that it is just Brown mud and that surely should not be the case. another query I also want help with is how to get Custom LOD Meshes into the game and making them show up on the world map. here are the images?
  6. Hello does anyone know how to add brand new Map Marker Icons for example new Forts And Capitol Icons but without needing to replace the Vanilla icons just add-on to the existing ones. Skyrim has been out all these years surely someone must of found a way to do it please I really need to know this. because I am creating my own world space and it would seem a bit strange for that world space to be using Map Marker Icons from Skyrim.   7. Hi, I recently booted up FNV again on my new beefy PC. Naturally, I went and modded the s*** out of it. I have decent experience modding, I've got Skyrim and FO4 working wonderfully and know how, for the most part, to make everything copacetic. HOWEVER I ran into a problem (I've had before): missing mesh marker. The marker located in Doc Mitchell's house right in front of the bed you start on. It's like some medical workstation thing. I reinstalled NMC and Ojo Bueno doing some cleaner overwrites and still it persists. It might be enhanced blood texture? Idk. I've deleted all the ITM records too (something I haven't done before with Bethesda games, maybe should replace??). Edit: I believe it has to do with Weapons of the New Millennia and WMX. Am attempting to fix. Another Edit: ^^ did not work. I added WMX Weapon Retexture compatibility and GBMM WMX animations. Back at square one.   9. So, I am making a character overhaul mod, and every time I add eyes from Eyes of Beauty it becomes a requirement. I have even put the textures needed into my mods texture folder and even still... it's a requirement. I fully intend to credit the original mod author... so no worries there I also have manually installed the Eyes of Beauty from LE and am using those textures in my texture folder. But I have the Mod Manager Eyes of Beauty SE loaded as master in CK. I already tried putting the SE textures in the texture folder so I thought maybe the LE ones would work. The steps I took: 1. added the eyes to my character in showracemenu 2. exported head and did "SPF (anonymousNPC)" in console 3. Opened creation kit and imported anonymousNPC.npc file to the actor I was working on 4. changed the hair and eyes of the actor to Ks hairdos and Eyes of Beauty (both of which I flagged as ESM's and loaded as masters) 5. CTRL F4 the actors face gen data and did some gimp stuff to replace them with racemenu export 6. added the textures of the hair and eyes (and other stuff) in a folder in my mods texture folder The hair is not a requirement and yet the eyes are... any help is appreciated! -Bamn
  10. In FNVEdit, each quest has a Quest Delay value that is usually set at 0, but for some mods they have quests with values of 15 and 30. What I don't know is what that value is. Does it mean in game seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years? Or is it some other value tied to something else. I'm asking this because there is a mod quest I am trying to make delayed in game, for lore reasons, give time for background events to occur in the story, not gameplay.

Hi I am wondering is there someone experienced with making mesh and texture replacer mods as I would like to have made bodyslide and cbbe compatible versions of the Halo UNSC marine corps BDU by kurtie and UNSC ODST battle armor by darkman32197 both for fallout 4 but Idon't have the knowledge nor the programs to make it myself.
  12. Hello! I'm looking for something simple. I want to have my character's face be a preset for both the African-American race, and for African-American Dead Horses Race. I'm also using Type3 for both. I've tried this myself but let's just say I won't be making any mods ever... This project has taken me about 5 hours to no success... Whenever I get the preset, it also erases my modded hairs and eyes in ShowRaceMenu. I need someone who knows what they're doing, and it isn't me! I've spent 5+ hours trying to do this.
  13. Greetings, I have been using mods for Skyrim ever since the first mods came out. I have never considered creating my own simply because everyone in the modding community does such exceptional work I never felt I had the need to try. However, I have run into a slight problem that I would like to fix, one that has bothered me for quite some time now. I'm sure most, if not all, of you are well aware of AthenaX's Sylvanas Queen of the Forsaken armor. In my opinion a masterpiece of a mod, however, I would like to see the hair from under the hood of the cloak. Just doesn't feel like Sylvanas without it. I am aware of the Sylvanas playable race mod that does show the hair or "wig" as the files call it. But I admit I am not a fan of the mod. I prefer to create my own Banshee Queen. Again, I am no mod creator but I would like some advice or suggestions or even instruction on how I can make this happen. Of course this is for my own personal use and I have no intention of taking adjustments to the mod and post them. Not my thing and I don't think I could even come close to perfecting AthenaX's work, nor would I try. That said, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all for any and all help.
  14. I've been modding the heck out of Spider-Man remastered as y'do with little to no issue. With the occasional hiccup like having to restore a previous version to get literally anything to work or spending almost three days trying to find out how to add new suit slots but now I've come across a new problem that I have no idea how to solve as I don't remember downloading anything that conflicts with any game audio and I can't even think of one that would. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Hello there I was wondering if anyone could lend some advice regarding Normal maps for Skyrim. I mean like for Farmhouses and what not. how are they supposed to be made I know how to make them but not in the same way as Bethesda and other Modders such as yourselves. for instance the texture. ( stonewall01_n) how and what does Bethesda do to make it look this way and also to not have ridiculously shiny specular. because I have noticed that on most buildings in Nifskope the Specular is on full. but with me I always need to turn the specular down that cant be right I will list the points that I'm hoping you can answer. :smile: 1) how are the Maps Made? 2) What Export Options Do I Need To Choose for the record I am a Gimp user by heart but a Photoshop user occasionally I hope you can assist me in these questions. :smile:
  16. hello there ive been having a problem where, whenever i go near Red Rocket, my game crashes. the only thing that i have tried that has stopped the crashes is to uninstall all mods, but that isn't exactly going to work for me. I have tried disabling some mods, but can't seem to narrow it down to a single one. i started in Goodneighbour with Start Me Up, and my companions are Dogmeat and Ellen, if any of that matters. I'm also using Enhanced Wasteland Sweetfx version 1 (no enb). Problem persists after removing that and also with ENBoost installed instead (I've been testing ENBoost and comparing to reshade to see if it makes a noticable difference in performance) Modlist/Load Order (Scroll past load order for all mods list including textures and such) - https://pastebin.com/cipGH0WZ If you have any questions to help troubleshoot, please ask. I'll keep trying, and update this post if i manage to fix it.

Im looking for anyone to help me with creating/doing a mod with me, I'm first of all looking to do it myself, but being that I have no experience with any sort of modding or using blender, I would really like some assistance. My idea is based off of Neil Blomkamp/Oats Studios short film; "Firebase". I think this armor would fit nicely into skyrim, whether you're a fan of Firebase or not, I feel this armor would be a nice addition to the plethera of skyrim armor mods. Another reason I'd really like to do this is that, everything is there, you can buy the physical rigs and models off steam. All the resources are there, and I'm a little surprised no one has done this before me! Hello all I have been trying for weeks now to create a new looking beard by using an vanilla one all I have done is moved certain parts of the UV map around I use blender for this . but the problem is the vanilla beard thai I am using has by default 167 verts but after I skin the beard in 3ds max and export it as a Nif the verts shoot up to 237 I am guessing that with me altering the UV a bit the verts double or something. does anyone know of a fix for this happing please I really require assistance.

  20. Introduction: Hello, I have had a few idea's for mods for a while and even tried to start a couple. My big issue is i lack the skills of modeling, texturing, and programming. So i am very limited in my ability to move beyond simplistic mods with vanilla content. On To My Request: One of my mods involves a twist on the idea of Hadrian's wall from history. The main NPC is Scottish and wears an ancestors kilt. There in lies one of my problems for this mod. I need a kilt outfit made. I was thinking a kilt with a apocalyptic twist. maybe some leather armor involved? If i can get assistance on making resources for my mod idea's i will most likely continue to make requests to the community for assistance and will properly credit them in the mod page.   21. Hey, before I even get started, this is really my first time using the forums and I believe that this is the correct "subcategory" (if you will), of the Forums due to mods being software. I could be wrong and I am sorry ahead of time if that's the case, and if so, can someone please redirect me to the correct "subcategory". Moving on, my issue is what the hell mods I should have. Why I am doing this is because I can't stand that I get an occasional CTD, possibly from conflicting mods, etc. So I come to you guys. I play a Breton, Battle Mage, Level 11, and not far into any quest line except the civil war quest line. I would not mind restarting since I can just console to basically bring myself back to my current point, regardless of how tedious it may sound. What I am asking is for you guys to decided what mods would best fit my IMMERSIVE, battle mage play style that also complements a well working legacy of dragonborn museum.   22. I'm wanting information on how to change the standing/idle animations of my female player character. Her stance is different from the other female npc's stances. My player character stands with her feet about shoulder width apart with a slight bend at her left knee. Other female characters stand with their feet closer together and have much more of a bend at their left knee. Is there a way to change this on XB1? Thank you everyone for your time.
  23. All, I am a 3d generalist willing to lend any modeling help or texturing to anyone who has a mod in mind. I am not too familiar with the actual process with creating mods. However I am a trained 3d artist able to create custom models and textures using Maya, and exporting to an obj file for modders to use.   24. Hello. I have fresh install of Skyrim, and fresh save game. Couple of mods (read: 100+), but the load order is handled by LOOT and the mods have been cleaned to avoid dirty plugins. However, generally on starting a new game or reloading a save shortly after (I haven't played the game beyond the first 10 mins), it crashes.   25. So I just started learning papyrus scripting... I want to make a script to start a player in another zone depending on what race I select. I guess my problem I don't know how to reference to a specific race in an if statement so something like if Game.GetPlayer().GetRace(Nord) do something end if but I don't know how exactly to do it. can someone tell me how? also is there a teleport command to teleport a player when selected?
