Pursuing excellence for Universal Health Coverage and innovation

We are a global research centre focusing on health systems responses to accelerate Universal Health Coverage in the context of population ageing, and health emergencies and disaster risk management.

Service Delivery

We conduct research about innovations in service delivery models, sustainable financing, and global monitoring efforts to accelerate progress toward universal health coverage in the context of population ageing.

HEDRM

The incidence and severity of natural disasters have increased. We conduct research and promote its uptake to ensure that more people will be better protected from the health impact of emergencies and disasters.

Local engagement

Given that the WKC functions as a department of WHO Headquarters but was also established as a result of strong local support of the Kobe Group, we have both a global and a local mandate.
