Watch Abby Lee Miller call excited fan 'obnoxious and bothering' after approaching her in public

Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller seemingly didn't appreciate a young fan two-stepping into her personal space, judging by a recent video of the alleged interaction that went viral this week on TikTok.

The video (watch here) shows the fan approaching Miller inside a store after recognizing her from across the room.

"Hi, how are you?" the fan asks before the video cuts to another shot, in which the person asks, "Are you Abby Lee Miller?"

The 58-year-old reality TV star and real-life dance coach responds with a question of her own: "Are you obnoxious and bothering me right now?"

Undeterred, the fan continues, telling Miller, "I’m sorry, I just wanted to say hi." Miller relents, and says, "You can take a picture, come on."

The pair then pose for a brief video selfie after Miller attempts to elaborate on her apparent annoyance, before the fan walks away.

"I know, I didn’t want to be annoying," the fan says, and Miller tells them to follow her on YouTube as they walk away.

When reached for comment, the person who posted the video tells Entertainment Weekly the clip was filmed on Tuesday at an Old Navy store. EW has reached out to Miller for a response.

Miller previously rose to prominence at the center of Dance Moms, the Lifetime reality series that followed her endeavors as the leader of the Abby Lee Dance Company, which produced breakout dance stars like JoJo Siwa and Maddie Ziegler.

The instructor was often criticized for being too harsh on her students and their parents, with Miller eventually admitting in an episode of ABC News’ IMPACT X Nightline that her words sometimes went too far.

“Absolutely. Yes, I would,” Miller answered when asked if she'd take back any remarks she made to prospective dancers. “Because no matter how harsh I was on the kid, they weren’t gonna get it. They just didn’t have the talent. They didn’t have it."

Miller served jail time from 2017 to 2018 for hiding $775,000 from bankruptcy creditors between 2012 and 2013.
