Based in the HQs in Madrid

We are seeking a project engineer for our office in Madrid to provide technical support in photovoltaic solar plant, wind farm projects, battery energy storage system (BESS) projects and green H2 projects. The Project engineer will work in the Technical Office of Elawan, providing support to other business areas throughout all phases of project development, including preliminary engineering, construction, and commissioning

Main Responsibilities:

• Reviewing third-party engineering projects, both basic and detailed, solar plants, wind farms, BESS and green H2. Reviewing and compliance with regulations.
• Sizing and developing the basic design of civil works for wind farms. Conceptual design of renewable projects. Estimating budgets for electrical and civil infrastructure.
• Collaborate in document management and Q&A follow up, in the development of technical Due Diligence.
• Reviewing single-line diagrams of low, medium and high voltage, basic connection and protection of substations, transformers, measuring equipment, and auxiliary services.
• Development of basic projects for green H2. Sizing and development of the basic H2 plant design. Selection of technology and equipment.
• Monitoring cutting-edge energy storage technologies, researching and developing methodologies.
• Working closely with the Procurement department for EPC contracts, specifically through the preparation of tender documents and technical specification.
• Working closely with the Construction department for the review of EPC engineering until the commissioning of the plants, technical assistance on-site, as well as As-Built documentation.
• Work collaboratively with contractors, vendors and agencies.
• Provide technical support to clients and project teams.
• Documentary management of technical projects.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations and best practice related to renewable projects.

Experience and Academic Backgroud:

• From 0-2 year of experience can be valued.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Energy or related fields.

Required skills:

• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with Spanish technical regulations for electrical installations, ITC-LAT, ITC-RAT, UNE, IEC, and specific regional regulations. Knowledge of REE (Red Eléctrica de España) procedures is also appreciated.
• Software Skills: AutoCAD and Excel. Experience with QGIS, Global Mapper is valuable.
• Experience: No experience required, but 1-2 years is preferred.
• Languages: High level of English. Additional languages such as French, Italian or Portuguese are highly valued.
• Travel Availability: Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally..

Primary location is Madrid, with availability for international travel.
