Our client, an international automotive company, is seeking for a Finance Director for its offices in Madrid.
The main responsibilities that the hired candidate will hold, as follows:
Analyse the business and financial processes and procedures of the company, setting up new ways of working.
Work closely within all the business directors to get detailed information to prepare all the reports and forecasting of the company.
Develop and implement long-term financial strategies, including budgets, financial projections, and risk analysis.
Oversee cash management, liquidity, and investments to maximize returns and ensure the availability of funds for daily operations.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and current regulations.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Collaborate closely with the management team in the formulation and execution of corporate strategy, assessing the financial impact of strategic decisions.
Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and credit rating agencies to communicate the company's financial position and promote market confidence.
Supervise compliance with applicable financial, tax, and compliance regulations, ensuring that the company operates within legal and ethical boundaries.
The Ideal Candidate Will Hold The Following Requirements
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Possession of a postgraduate degree (MBA, Master's in Finance, etc.) will be positively valued.
Minimum 8-10 years of previous experience in senior financial positions, with at least 3-5 years in leadership roles such as Chief Financial Officer or similar.
Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, risk management, financial legislation, and financial information systems.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, interpret results, and formulate strategic recommendations.
Ability to lead multifunctional teams, foster collaboration, and motivate employees towards achieving financial objectives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and persuasively to different audiences.
Results-oriented approach, with the ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions for the benefit of the company and its stakeholders.
