We're proud to share the news of our collaboration with SOLAR MEMS, a premium provider of reliable and accurate star trackers and solar sensors for spacecraft manufacturers. We'll be integrating the SOLAR MEMS nanoST as part of the sensor suite of our highly autonomous SW-centric reentry capsule, named Kestrel. The nanoST will ensure accurate navigation while in orbit, and will be key in the avionic architecture of Kestrel. We'll fly SOLAR MEMS nanoST starting with our first Kestrel reentry vehicle mission, with the goal of bringing it back to Earth safe and sound to analyze it after flight. 🏅 La dirección de ESA BIC de Madrid y la Agencia Espacial Española (AEE) recibieron en el Parque Científico de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid a una delegación de Colombia, marcando un hito en la colaboración entre ambos países en el ámbito del emprendimiento espacial. 👉 La delegación colombiana tuvo la oportunidad de conocer en detalle el ESA BIC de Madrid, una iniciativa gestionada por la Fundación para el Conocimiento madri+d apoyada por la European Space Agency - ESA, la Agencia Espacial Española (AEE) y la Comunidad de Madrid. Este programa promueve el emprendimiento, brindando soporte comercial y técnico para la creación de empresas del sector espacio o que desarrollen soluciones innovadoras a partir de tecnologías del espacio para otros sectores. 🧑💼El ESA BIC Comunidad de Madrid, en funcionamiento desde 2015, ha incubado 53 empresas con cofinanciación de la ESA y la Comunidad de Madrid y con el apoyo de la AEE, desempeñando un papel crucial en el ecosistema emprendedor de la región e integrando instituciones educativas y tecnológicas para facilitar la colaboración y promover la integración de emprendedores en su entorno. 🏬 En este contexto, se puso de relieve el proceso de selección de empresas para participar en el programa, garantizando la calidad de los proyectos y equipos comprometidos. We participated to the Panel organized by EC DEFIS on In Space Operations and Services at the 16th EC Space Conference, along with colleagues from ClearSpace, Infinite Orbits, EROSS IOD/Thales Alenia Space. It was a pleasure to discuss with such important colleagues and companies the importance of a strategic European capability to act in space!

Last week we had the honor of being invited to the Strategic Workshop on In-Space Operations and Services of the EC Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS). We participated with colleagues of well renowned new space companies to a panel on the In-Space Services market. In our opinion, along with the clear space-to-space benefits, the in-space robotic collaboration capabilities can be used to provide lower cost, faster access to space, enhanced mission capacity, faster technological cycle in space for the space-to-ground market. For this, we are building a european fully robotic platform designed for agile payload plug-in and swap directly in space, for pressurized and unpressurized modules. A space-resident reusable spacecraft meant as starting point to provide autonomous infrastructure for the future in-orbit industry. Thanks Marco Detratti for the invitation, thanks Tomas S.
