Our CAF Signalling Business completes Second Phase of La Encina-Xàtiva-Valencia Line Modernization 🚄 With section 4.2 now operational, we're one step closer to finishing the entire project by the end of 2024. 📅 Key Achievements: Installed cutting-edge Q4e interlockings, LED signals, and ASFA Digital systems. Covered interlockings at Alfafar, Catarroja, Silla, and Almussafes. Remote management from Valencia FSL’s CTC center using our technology. This €12 million project enhances signalling systems and upgrades the Silla-Sollana blocking system, boosting the railway infrastructure. 🔜 Next Steps: We will complete the final phase covering Benifaió to Pobla Llarga, implementing the ERTMS system for greater safety and efficiency. ¡Great job, team!

📢 This weekend, we successfully commissioned the León - Guardo section. This project involves the removal of the telephone blocking on the Asunción - Guardo section (125 km of the L790 line) of ADIF's Metric Gauge Network, running through the province of León between Asunción Universidad and Guardo, with a branch line between La Robla and Matallana. 🚉 We have equipped the entire section with eleven #Q4 electronic #interlockings, integrating existing installations and level crossings. Additionally, we installed a new fixed telecommunications system, now integrated into our León #TMS. After a line closure of a month and a half with intense work, we began test runs on Friday. The famous Expreso de La Robla ran on Sunday and yesterday commercial services have started. Congratulations to everyone involved! 👏 We are #safety #WeareCAF

This Friday, July 5, CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) had the honor of welcoming Mr. Malik NDIAYE, Minister of Infrastructure and Land and Air Transport of Senegal, to its Reichshoffen site, accompanied by Amadou NDIAYE (MITTA) and Cheikh Ibrahima NDIAYE, Managing Director of SENTER. They were able to discover the progress of the manufacture and testing of the 7 Coradia Polyvalent trains for the TER Dakar ordered in 2022. These trains will complete the fleet of 15 TER Dakar trains already delivered and in circulation, whose commercial success is no longer to be demonstrated. These trains currently connect the centre of Dakar to the new town of Diamniadio and, soon, the Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD), located about 50 km from the city of Dakar. The development of rail transport, of which the strengthening of the regional express train (TER) offer, is a priority for the Senegalese government, in view of the challenges of territorial development and the acceleration of the country's urbanization noted in recent years. Ils ont ainsi pu découvrir l’avancement de la fabrication et des essais des 7 rames de type Coradia Polyvalent pour le TER Dakar commandées en 2022. Ces rames vont venir compléter le parc des 15 rames TER Dakar déjà livrées et en circulation dont le succès commercial n’est plus à démontrer. Ces rames relient actuellement le centre de Dakar à la ville nouvelle de Diamniadio et, prochainement, l’aéroport international Blaise Diagne (AIBD), situé à environ 50 km de la ville de Dakar.   Le développement du transport ferroviaire, dont le renforcement de l’offre du Train Express régional (TER) fait partie, est une priorité pour le Gouvernement sénégalais, au regard des défis d’aménagement du territoire et de l’accélération de l’urbanisation du pays notés ces dernières années. 📢 CAF TO SUPPLY TRAMS FOR OMAHA, NEBRASKA, IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA The Omaha Streetcar Authority, an Interlocal Agency set up in partnership between the City of Omaha and Omaha Metro to execute the city's new tram network project, has chosen #CAF to supply the units that will operate on the line, set to begin operations in 2027. This €50 million project involves #designing, #constructing, #operating, and #maintaining a nearly 5-kilometer network and will connect the Blackstone district with downtown Omaha, featuring 16 stops. These trams will use overhead catenary lines and Onboard Energy Storage Systems (OESS). This marks the first use of #OESS by CAF in the U.S., reflecting the growing demand for battery-powered trams. CAF has been operating in the U.S. transit market since 1998, with production facilities in #Elmira, New York, and numerous successful projects.
