Power-Up Bands themed to different characters are available through SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Studios. Your Power-Up Band enables you to collect digital stamps and coins, complete Key Challenges, track your score on the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride, and more throughout SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
Your Power-Up Band can also be used as an amiibo for the corresponding character on Nintendo Switch systems. For example, the Mario Power-Up Band functions in compatible titles as a Mario amiibo figure.
Power-Up Bands are not compatible with the Nintendo 3DS family of systems or Wii U.
How to use your Power-Up Band as an amiibo
- Update your Nintendo Switch system to the latest system version.
- Open the amiibo-compatible game and follow in-game instructions to access amiibo features.
- Tap the circular character icon in the center of the band to the NFC reader on your controller.
