Information
Nintendo Switch Online memberships cannot be canceled outright. Per the Nintendo Switch Online Terms of Service, we cannot offer refunds or credits for remaining time left on your membership.
However, you can prevent your Nintendo Switch Online membership from renewing at the end of the current membership period by turning off auto-renewal at least 48 hours before the membership is set to expire. You will be able to continue to use the Nintendo Switch Online service until your membership expires on the date listed in your membership settings on Nintendo eShop and the Nintendo Account website.
You will lose the various benefits of Nintendo Switch Online if you allow your membership to expire. Please keep the following in mind:
- Save Data Cloud backup will no longer be available. We are unable to guarantee that cloud save data will be retained after an extended period of time from when your membership ends. However, you can continue to use the save data that is saved to your system memory.
- If you have purchased a family membership, the other members of your family group will also no longer be able to use the service when your membership ends.
- If you have purchased any Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, you must have an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to redeem them. However, you will still be able to use your vouchers if you begin any new paid Nintendo Switch Online membership before the voucher expires.
- You will still be able to access and use any custom Nintendo Switch Online user icons you have created, even if your membership expires.
If you are having issues with the Nintendo Switch Online service, please contact us for assistance.

Additional information
When you use a credit card to set up automatic renewal, we may receive updated information from your issuing bank or applicable payment service provider about the credit card. This means we may update the saved credit card's number and expiration date if it is replaced or it has expired. This helps ensure that your subscriptions automatically renew and your purchases complete successfully, even if your credit card information changes.
