👩🚒 This week, we supported the #Oberhausen Fire Department by guiding a crucial #training exercise at our Oberhausen site. Under the expert supervision of Frank Taube and Maurice Denechaud from our plant fire department, 22 firefighter #trainees tackled a simulated hazardous scenario involving a leaking tank car.   ▶ The trainees faced the challenge of locating a missing person and securing the leak, all while donning chemical protective suits (CSA). The realistic conditions and comprehensive guidance provided invaluable experience, enhancing their readiness for real-life emergencies.   🙏 A big thank you to the Oberhausen Fire Department and our dedicated team for making this exercise a success.

OQ Chemicals has been awarded the BNSF Railway Product Stewardship Award for the safe transportation of hazardous materials by rail in the US for 2023. As a Process Engineer at our Bay City site, Angela Henderson provides technical support to operations, environmental, and capital project teams. Most of her time is spent behind the scenes doing research and calculations to identify areas for long-term plant improvement, and collaboration is key to her role. She and the rest of the process engineering team are always available as a technical reference for all departments. Angela has been with the OQ Chemicals team for over a year.
