On June 26, we participated in a charity event for Sophia for Children called Elephant in the Room: Sophia's New Art Project for Children.     Sophia for Children supports children in need in both Cyprus and Kenya by providing education, food, and medical care. The Elephant in the Room project aims to raise public awareness of problems many children face.  During the event, 20 Cyprus-based companies, including our own, donated €5,000 each and received a specially designed elephant artwork .     We also supported the foundation during Let's Hippo in 2018 and Giraffes for Hope in 2020. From those events, we received hippo and giraffe artworks, both of which we donated to the Makarios Children’s Hospital in Nicosia.     We are honored to continue supporting such a meaningful cause! 

Wargaming donates 4 000 000 UAH (around 100 000 USD) to help restore Okhmatdyt hospital through the UNITED24 platform. These funds will be used to rebuild the largest children's hospital in Ukraine, where more than 20,000 kids from all over the country are treated every year. As a result of the recent attack, the toxicology building of the medical institution was completely destroyed, dozens of departments and laboratories were damaged. In this initiative, Wargaming joins forces with other businesses with the goal of helping Okhmatdyt recover to once again save children and give hope.

Let's step inside the world of the team who create mesmerizing, high-quality game environments! We asked Dmitrii Kislitsin, our esteemed 3D Environment Team Lead, to provide us with a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes. For his role, a balance of technical and people skills is highly important. In his daily workflow, Dmitrii utilizes different software, including Autodesk Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer, for modeling and texturing. He also uses Photoshop for texture refinement, ZBrush for high-poly modeling, and SpeedTree for vegetation generation. When discussing teamwork, Dmitrii emphasizes the significance of effective communication skills and talks of the importance of open dialogue, active listening, and clear articulation to ensure alignment and accelerate the development process. Dmitrii believes that diversity enriches the team, providing varied perspectives and approaches to problem-solving. Lastly, he acknowledges the benefits of the office environment in fostering collaboration, idea exchange, and team camaraderie; however, he also recognizes the importance of flexibility and remote work options for achieving a healthy work-life balance to optimize productivity and comfort for each team member.
