The media could not be loaded.

I used this on my sister’s hair and her hair came out pin straight after one swipe for each section of her hair with the hot comb. Her hair is mostly usually 2b/2c hair so her hair type is wavy so it’s not completely curly like mine but it did her hair very well and gave off a nice curl at the bottom of her hair as you see in the video. She had no frizz for many weeks but I did used leave in conditioner which is also a heat protectant before using the hot comb on her hair so maybe that’s why but it’s amazing!! The temperature gets very steaming hot even if it’s on the lowest level, it is still scorching hot so it takes hours and hours to cool off on its own on my countertops. So be very careful when touching it after turning on, it literally took 5 seconds after turning it on to heat up really really hot. The size is perfect, cord length is too short but I made it work with an extension cord and it does have a burning smell, I don’t know if it’s normal. But I like it, very useful, 10/10!!

***Update: The new one I received came in perfect condition and performed amazingly. No scratches, the cardboard inside was intact and no double tape on the box. I received the new one the very next day after sending in the return for the damaged one. I am very pleased. Very good return/replacement time frame if you ask me. I want to note that I am only leaving the original review below for full transparency of the process.
Original Review: Everything seemed to be okay at first. Then I opened the box and the inside cardboard was wrapped apart. Okay, no big deal, it's juts the cardboard. Then I pulled out the product and it was scratched pretty deep on the comb portion and some on the handle. That was a problem. Then I looked at the box more and at the bottom seals and saw they had been re taped shut. So I assume I was given a return. I am currently waiting on my replacement and will update my review with hopefully a better experience with the new one.

Great value and well priced! The press comb came packed nicely in a box. Though the back of the box did have a slight dent in it. But upon opening it there was no damage to the item. I basically purchased this press comb as an alternative to having to use my straightener or curling wand to help flatten the top of my wigs. This press comb worked perfectly for what I wanted to use it for! Made the top of my wig lay flat! It heats up quickly and can get quite hot, so do be careful when using it. The safety stand also happens to get hot so make sure to have it set back when running the comb through your hair! Overall great product and value for money. Especially it being an Andis product!
