    I had a lot of high hopes for the SwitchMix and while it is an effective and unique all in one solution for your audio, it does have some shortcomings. As far as setup goes, it is fairly simple. The main component is the DAC/Audio Mixer box itself that rests on top of the outer frame/stand. On the bottom of the stand you will find the 3.5mm cable that plugs into the Mixer box. As far as the mixer goes, it has 3 ports on the back- one for the stand, one for your speakers, and one for the USB cable. On the front of the mixer you will find a single headphone jack for your headphones.The SwitchMix is immediately detected in Windows after connecting it over USB and the CAM software isn’t needed if you just want the basic functions, but the software will allow you to adjust sound profiles in addition to changing the lights on the volume dial. In Windows, it detects two separate audio outputs for both the Game Audio and Voice Audio, so it can be confusing to choose one over the other when you aren’t currently trying to mix the audio. I also noticed that even at max volume, the headphones don’t really get that “DAC” effect and don’t have any significant boost in volume. At times I even think my headphones are quieter when using it with this, but I did notice that the quality of the audio did seem to be slightly better from the ability to choose audio profiles in the software.Now, I do not own computer speakers so I tested the switching ability with another pair of headphones and it does work perfectly. The audio switches over instantly when your headphones are placed on top of the stand. The stand also has memory as it does a great job at remembering your audio profiles and volume for each device you are using.Overall, this is an excellent headphone stand that offers features you don’t get anywhere else. I love that this is a good way to switch your audio seamlessly, and I like the adjustments and features it offers. However, the quieter than expected max volume and the overall cost make it a bit of a harder recommendation. I still recommend it but only to those interested in the abilities of the mixer.

    Almost everything about this headset is great but just barely manages to not get there.

    Sound quality is mediocre. Sounds muddy/muffled, doesn't matter if you use it in USB or 3.5mm. No oomph to the bass, and treble sound tinny. Also, the max volume is too low in my opinion.

    Comfort is surprisingly great. Leather feels a bit cheap and the headset is *too* light in my opinion making it feel cheap, but actually putting them on my head they feel pretty great. Clamp feels just right, not too loose or too tight. They can extend quite a bit so big head dudes like me are good to go.

    Microphone is a mixed bag, the actual quality is very good, but it does tend to pick up sounds coming from the headset a tiny bit. I tested this with a friend on discord, and yeah it does sometimes pick up audio from your headset but it's very subtle, and can only be heard while you're talking and if it's loud. This is honestly more of a nitpick but hey it shouldn't happen at all, just saying.

    Build quality is pretty good actually, I know I wrote that it's too light and the leather feels cheap, but everything else feels pretty solid. Plastics are high quality plastics, and the metal used feels good.

    Design of the headset is definitely the reason you're getting this headset (or because of the price), it's a very clean and minimalistic looking headset which for some people is worth buying alone.

    Overall, I don't really recommend this headset purely because the sound quality is just not very good. The rest I can get by with, but the sound quality should be better than this, even at this price point.

    This is a review on the Switchmix, since Amazon mixes reviews. Front 3.5mm port got loose and stopped working. The little mixer would switch lights and the cam software would show the equalizer (which only shows up for headphones) showing that the headphones are connected but there was just no audio coming out of the front 3.5mm port. The plug on my headphones would also just slide out of the front 3.5mm port with zero effort. I bought what looked like an old version on another site called the MXER to see if it would work with the switchmix and it doesn't. Surprisingly the front 3.5mm was much better built on the MXER. Would have went to NZXT customer support but since it's the weekend for me and I had only a few days left in the return window on Amazon I decided to use Amazon's return service instead.

    The clamps make this really uncomfortable to wear, the microphone didn't work, and the leather isn't soft it's some cheap synthetic material. Just buy a proper microphone and real headphones.

    The device works flawlessly the only issues I have had was that I would have to unplug it and replug it in on occasion as it didn't power when the system did but unplugging the USB and back in solves the issue. not sure that the issue is that caused the USB not to send power but it works great

    Stylisch, leicht zu installieren (CAM Software wird benötigt um alle Funktionen zu nutzen), Wechsel zwischen Headset und Boxen funktioniert einwandfrei. Musik wird mit integriertem DAC sehr natürlich wiedergegeben mit ansprechender großer Bühne, in Spielen lassen sich Gegner gut orten, soweit so gut.
    ABER leider ist die Wiedergabe gerade mit Headsets/Kopfhörern mit höherem Wiederstand (Ohm) zu leise, also mir zu mindestens. Was nicht heißen soll das die Wiedergabe per se zu leise ist, das muss jeder selbst entscheiden. Für mich hat es leider nicht gereicht und ich habe den Switch Mix schweren Herzens zurück geschickt, weil eigentlich ein richtig gutes Teil.

    Hab die Kopfhörer nun ca 3 Monate im Einsatz. Anfangs musste man sich an das Klangbild gewöhnen, da ich zuvor nur Razer Headsets hatte. Sehr gut finde ich das man Schritte sehr gut hören kann. Jedoch sind die Kopfhörer nicht basslastig. Mittlerweile hab ich mich dran gewöhnt und mag den Klang. Was ich nur schade finde, nehm ich Kopfhörer von der Halterung rutschen die Seiten erstmal runter. Hat man diese auf dem Kopf rutscht aber nix mehr. Die Lederpolster sehen nicht mehr so schön aus, wie am Anfang. Also leichte Rille, leicht verformt aber nix abgeblättert oder gerissen. Alles in allem bin ich aber sehr zufrieden und würde diverse wieder kaufen
