We use these books as a review (I find myself saying, to them, this isn't supposed to be hard, just a fun activity to keep us learning) It's something "easy" to keep the education flowing during the summer month and not for learning new materials (although some topics may be newish). The map in the back is a great way to track their progress and incentive for them to get to the next level. What I like most about these books in comparison to others is that the subjects are in mixed order for each level instead of an overwhelming block of all the LA, Math, Science then Social Studies.
