Indeed, a local Austin company, is the latest business to take action following concerns about the coronavirus.

Employees were told Tuesday to start working from home until further notice and the company has cancelled all business travel and upcoming Indeed-hosted events.

No Indeed employee has tested positive for coronavirus, the company said.

Facebook, Twitter, Intel, Mashable, and TikTok recently announced they are skipping this year's SXSW due to coronavirus fears.

Indeed sent the following email to its employees:

Indeed’s top priority is the health and safety of our employees. As the COVID-19 coronavirus evolves into a global health concern, we have made the decision to ask all employees to work from home until further notice. Our goal is to minimize the risk to employees and help to lower the probability of the spread of the virus to you, your families and the communities where we operate.
We have also made the decision to halt all business travel and to cancel all near-term Indeed-hosted events. While we recognize these measures will be inconvenient for some, we will do our best to support you. We feel it is the right action to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees while still enabling us to continue to fulfill our mission of helping people get jobs.
While we do not have any confirmed cases of employees with the virus, we continue to act out of an abundance of caution. We are well equipped to continuously serve our job seekers and our clients in a remote work environment. We are constantly evaluating this evolving situation and adjusting tactics based on new information to keep you safe.

Amid concerns about COVID-19, other big tech names have pulled out of SXSW just 10 days before the two-week event. This includes Facebook, Twitter, Intel, Mashable and now TikTok.

"Somebody needs to be able to say these are the definite parameters that we have for cancelling SXSW, and if those parameters are met then yes we cancel it. But that needs to be a public statement," said Katie Coleman.

Coleman, who is a teacher living in Austin, says she does not plan to attend the festival, in part because of the ongoing concerns over coronavirus. Despite those concerns, she does not think the city or the festival organizers will end up cancelling the event.

"I think bands will pull out. I think that venues will pull out, I think that artists will pull out, but I don't think overall it'll be cancelled. I think it will just be a smaller scale," said Coleman.

There are now more than 100 coronavirus cases confirmed in the U.S. On Tuesday, Washington state announced three new fatalities linked to the virus, which brings the U.S. total to nine cases.
