“Uzair is a great leader, mentor and advisor. He always insisted on higher standards and gave expert technical guidance on many engineering initiatives. Most importantly he created a positive and productive workplace and ensured engineers are happy and always addressed their issues. I happen to work with him in onboarding and hiring other engineers during which I really learnt a lot from him. He is an excellent teacher. He also set an example for managing, growing and leading development efforts across cross-functional and multi-geographical teams. I am really glad I worked with such a talented leader and I am certain that he will be a great asset to any company. ”

Back then, websites were created with pure HTML, a skill set held by relatively few people. To address this, software companies started producing “what you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) editors such as Microsoft FrontPage and Adobe Dreamweaver. These allowed users with basic computer literacy to create gorgeous websites with complex user interfaces quickly and easily. While custom web development still took place for complex and heavily customized sites, WYSIWYG editors were more than sufficient for most uses.
Fast forward to 2015 – web development has not only advanced light years beyond WSYIWYG editors of the late ‘90s, but easy and intuitive content management systems like WordPress and Drupal are commonplace and make even highly complex development accessible to everyone. Slowly and surely, web development has been productized to the point where very few sites are still being built with pure HTML.
