Black Professionals in Tech Network (BPTN) is the largest tech network in North America with over 20,000+ members. We bridge the "Network gap" in the tech industry by providing Black tech and business professionals with access to senior executive sponsorship, skill-building and a strong peer network to support professional growth and advancement. I had the unique pleasure of partnering with this team as they grew from an inspired movement to a fast growing tech company.

Member of program steering committee, responsible for advocating, providing feedback, and piloting new initiatives design to reduce youth unemployment in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Region. Lead the partnership between LinkedIn and CivicAction to develop a train the trainer program for front line youth employment workers to be equipped with the latest LinkedIn skills.

The Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference was created to broaden the perspectives of future leaders in business, unions and public administration so that their decisions are based on a practical understanding of the influence of their organizations on the general welfare of the community. I was selected for the 2015 conference and completed the Nova Scotia study tour.

I was a member of the founding team of a not-for-profit dedicated to advancing Indigenous leadership from coast to coast to coast.

We started with an idea on a piece of paper and have built the organization to become a nationally recognized organization making a significant impact in the community. My main contributions included mission, vision and product/service definition, executing pilot events, fundraising and strategic planning.

I was selected as one of twenty-five 2011 DiverseCity Fellows, a one-year action-oriented leadership development program for rising city-builders in the Greater Toronto Region.

The program is designed to support city-builders who are deeply committed to enhancing their leadership abilities and practicing collective leadership to address issues that are critical to the future health and wealth of the Toronto region.

I was the chair of the six person organizing committee for annual conference for Canada's national student engineering organization. I held overall accountability for the successful delivery of the conference across aspect of programming, logistics, and fundraising.

We hosted over 200 guests in Toronto for the week-long conference and raised over $70,000 in sponsorship. It was an amazing early leadership experience and I remain friends with many leaders across Canada as a result of this… Show more
