Two members of the GRFF Board of Directors took some time out of organizing the festival earlier this spring to record a podcast together, and the episodes will be released over the next five weeks. Find Mid-Credit Scene Podcast in the podcaster of your preference.
Mike Pereira and Michael R. Clark are joined this month on the podcast by filmmaker and Grand River Film Festival Programming Director Michael Davison. Over the next five weeks, you can hear weekly episodes on subjects such as the state of the film industry, the madness of Terry Gilliam, how to get a movie financed, the visible and invisible special effects present in pretty much anything filmed these days, and the importance of short films. Check out the first episode today in the podcaster of your choice.

Grand River Film Festival reposted this
May 8, 2024. Opening night of the 16th edition of Grand River Film Festival in the beautiful theatre venue at Kitchener Public Library It was a full house where all selected short films that screened were created by local filmmakers in the Region of Waterloo, with two of them - my "A.I." film included - produced through awarded grants by the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund Also included in the program were the winning films from the Hospice Waterloo Region annual YODO - You Only Die Once - short film competition. A very informative and insightful panel discussion and Q&A with most of the filmmakers present took place after the screening. Moderated by the festival's Chair of the Board of Directors, Michael R. Clark A successful kick-off to this year's festival which was attributed to all the volunteers and programming director, Michael Davison #film #festival #grff24 #KWawesome #kitchener #waterloo #ontario #canada #shortfilm #filmmaker #filmmaking #producer #director #writer #script #documentary #narrative #drama #romance #independent #nonunion #local #artist #creative #screening #event #arts #fund #grant #program
