And the award goes to… Kraft Heinz! The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity hosted its 2024 award ceremony last weekend, celebrating advertising excellence. The event showcased various marketing campaigns spanning numerous mediums and industries. Our hashtag #LearningPartner Kraft Heinz stole the show by winning 22 awards! Kraft Heinz ran 4 award-winning campaigns, Ketchup Fraud where Kraft Heinz cracked down on Ketchup counterfeits, Smack For Heinz where Chicagoans could smack a billboard to add ketchup to their hotdogs, and It Has To Be Heinz where Heinz told their customers to call out the restaurants that served other ketchup in a Heinz bottle. These 3 campaigns took home many awards, but the showstopper of the night was Heinz Ketchup with Seemingly Ranch. The Heinz Ketchup Seemingly Ranch ad campaign promoted Heinz’s existing product, a ranch and ketchup mix, with a new pop culture reference. A tweet went viral a few months ago of Taylor Swift at a Chief’s game eating “Chicken with ketchup and seemingly ranch.” Heinz capitalized on the moment with their product of ketchup and ranch. The campaign placed them in the cultural zeitgeist and won them numerous awards, including the Gold Lion Award for Social Influence. Congratulations Kraft Heinz on their amazing turnout!
