Adapt was honoured to act as an OOH supplier to put the First Nations Drinking Water compensation messaging into the hands of Indigenous communities across Canada. We're particularly heartened to see that the Star Blanket Cree Nation drinking water advisory has been lifted after 17 years but we have to ask - what about the other 31 First Nations that still live with poisoned water and long-term advisories?

In May, we learned that OOH had had its best first quarter ever, according to the OAAA. Hurray! Closer to home though is the fact that Adapt Media Inc.'s revenue has increased by a whopping 265% since 2020 and while our sensational sales team (Adam Silverthorne, Natasha Stevens, Diane Wilson, Sam Campbell, Andrea Hodson - Long, and Mary Janozeski) deserve oodles of credit for batting it out of the park, much gratitude must also be given to our fabulous Operations/Digital AdOps team (Frank Aballini, Jamie Davine, Paul Rochester, Tatiana Abondano, Kelly Belgrave, Felipe Fernandes, and Darshan Gor). Thank you for your instantaneous responses, your creativity, your agility, and the incredible amount of weekend work you all put in to making our campaigns shine. You are definitely the wind beneath our wings!!!

It's important that this number be acknowledged - 3,068 convenience stores in Ontario have applied for their alcohol-selling licence while only 37 grocery stores have done so - while seeing messaging about the financial benefit of Ontario's decision going into the pockets of billionaires. The 3,068 licences approved are NOT for billionaires but they are for small local businesses who see the right to sell beer, wine, and RTD beverages as a way to keep their businesses afloat.

Ontarians learned a new acronym today: RTD = Ready to Drink Beverages. Here is a primer on exactly what an RTD beverage is. Oh, and if you're an RTD brand looking to capitalize on Ontario's newly opened convenience store market, look no further for a primer - Adapt Media is Canada's largest convenience store OOH network. Help us to help you get in front of those curious and cooler-craving c-store customers! #rtd #Ontarioconveniencestores #beer #wine

To celebrate Pride, the Adapt Media Inc. crew and our friends from billups, dentsu, EssenceMediacom Canada, Jungle Media, and Publicis Media joined forces with the most marvellous Messy Margaret for a cutthroat cocktail ingredient scavenger hunt through The Village to assemble drinks fit for our Queen! The best moment of MANY memorable moments? When the lyrics to the Village People's classic became Y-M-C-STORE!!! Special thanks to INS Market for hosting the very first Drag spectacular in a convenience store (their brand new location at 684 Yonge Street)!

After last year's population explosion, Canada has once again ballooned by over 1 million people to bring us to a nation of 41 million! Most of this population growth comes from immigration, which is great news given the country's shrinking birth rate (our birth rate in 2023 was the lowest in Stats Can history). So, how to reach all these eager-to-consume newcomers? Adapt Media Inc. has some thoughts and some OOH/DOOH notions; with DriveTest Centres, Service Ontarios, Alberta Registries, and a multicultural grocery network, we have almost as many options as there are new Canadians! #newcanadians #immigration #birthrate #doohadvertising #ooh

We were thrilled to the gills to sponsor yesterday's DPAA Canadian Summit! We learned that TD is the most valuable banking brand in Canada, courtesy of Alan Wen, TD's VP of Marketing, that multicultural audiences are a big part of PepsiCo's future growth plans, thanks to Logan Chambers, PepsiCo's Senior Director of Marketing, that ALDO SHOES will reach Net Zero by 2050, as per Jennifer Vaillancourt, MBA, ALDO's Head of Marketing & Strategy (representing the brand in simply fabulous shoes!), and that each of these marketing heavyweights believes in DOOH as a positive force for increasing their ROI. And, speaking of positive forces, we wish both Marita Olcese, MBA and Alan Sifuentes all the good luck in the world with their Adapt-awarded OLG $200 gift card wins, especially since they promised to take the Adapt team away on a glamourous holiday if they win. What??? You didn't say that? Oh, you should read the contract on the back of those cards!!! Thank you to Barry, Ajay, and Zach for hosting such a high energy, thought provoking tribute to our medium! #dpaa #dooh #advertising

2023 meant record sales for US convenience stores - NACS reports that basket size (the amount that each convenience store customer spent per visit) increased 3.7% to $7.80. We're sure that Canadian convenience stores experienced the same level of growth and that beer, wine, and RTD revenue will translate to record 2024 sales in the True North.
