We are looking for a results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations in Brazil, with a focus on leading and coordinating the efforts of our City Managers. As the COO, you will work closely with the CEO and the executive team to execute the company's strategic initiatives and drive growth in this new market.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute the company's strategy and business plans for the Brazilian market
Provide strategic guidance to city managers and operations teams, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives
Operational Excellence:
Oversee all operational aspects of the business, including fleet management, maintenance, rider experience, and safety protocols
Implement best practices and streamline processes to optimize operational efficiency
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of city managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
Drive the recruitment, training, and development of high-performing teams
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on local and national regulations, ensuring full compliance with government requirements and regulations
Develop relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to create a favorable operating environment
Financial Management:
Work with the CFO to develop and manage budgets, track financial performance, and ensure that operations are cost-effective
Implement strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability in the Brazilian market
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular updates to the CEO and the board of directors on the performance of operations in Brazil
Foster effective communication between the operations team and other functional areas within the company
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related field (MBA preferred)
Proven experience in executive leadership roles with a strong track record of managing operations in a rapidly growing organization
Experience in the micromobility, transportation, or related industries is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of the Brazilian market, regulations, and local dynamics
Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
A strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
Fluent in English and Portuguese (both written and spoken)
Fluency in the Russian language is highly desirable
