Resident Alien Season 4

After three seasons on SYFY, the sci-fi/comedy series “Resident Alien” is getting a fourth season and moving over to the USA Network, Deadline reports this afternoon.

Deadline notes, “With the relocation to USA, NBCU is looking to expose Resident Alien to a broader audience, a crossover potential the series’ successful run on Netflix hinted at.”

“Like Season 3, Season 4 will be available on NBCU’s streamer Peacock, with future windowing plans still being worked out,” the website also notes in today’s fresh report.

“Resident Alien” is based on the same-titled line from Dark Horse Comics.

The series follows a crash-landed alien named Harry (Alan Tudyk) whose secret mission is to kill all humans. “In Season 3,” Deadline recaps, “Harry vowed to work with General McCallister to rid the Earth of the Grey aliens, a task made more difficult when he discovered that the Grey Hybrid Joseph had taken a job in town as the new Deputy. In addition, Harry struggled to balance business and his personal life when he fell in love for the first time.”

Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Elizabeth Bowen, Judah Prehn and Meredith Garretson also star in “Resident Alien” alongside Tudyk (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil).

Chris Sheridan is the showrunner for the series, which premiered back in 2021.

In addition to “The Simpsons” unleashing a brand new “Treehouse of Horror” special this coming Halloween season, “Family Guy” is getting in on the spooky season fun this year.

A Hulu Exclusive “Family Guy” Halloween Special premieres October 14.

The Halloween special will feature Glen Powell (TWISTERS, HIT MAN) as “Patrick McCloskey,” the reigning champion in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest, and Derek Jacobi (GOSFORD PARK, GLADIATOR) as “Rupert,” Stewie’s beloved teddy bear.

In the Hulu Exclusive Halloween Special, “Peter and his friends aim to unseat the reigning champion (GLEN POWELL) in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest by any means necessary.”

“Family Guy” Season 23, meanwhile, premieres in 2025. In the new season, “Peter accidentally exposes his inability to throw a ball, Meg starts dating the giant chicken’s son and Chris loses his earring in a Lord of the Rings-inspired escapade. Additionally, Stewie finds out his stuffed bear Rupert was made in China and makes it his mission to take him back there to meet his family. The series will also parody The White Lotus, as the Griffin family vacation at a luxury resort, where Stewie worries that his wealthy new friends plan to sacrifice him in a volcano.”

“Family Guy” is a 20th Television Animation production. Seth MacFarlane is creator and executive producer. Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin serve as executive producers and showrunners, while Steve Callaghan, Tom Devanney, Danny Smith, Kara Vallow, Mark Hentemann, Patrick Meighan and Alex Carter are executive producers.
