Ultra-Rare Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport “Soleil de Nuit” Heading To Auction

A special edition Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport “Soleil de Nuit,” created specifically for the Middle East, is set to hit the auction block at RM Sotheby’s Tegernsee Auction on July 27, 2024. This one-of-a-kind hypercar, which debuted at the 2009 Dubai International Motor Show, is expected to fetch between $1.6 million and $2.15 million.
The Veyron, named after the 1939 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Pierre Veyron, stunned the automotive world upon its 2005 debut. Boasting a top speed of over 250 mph and a price tag to match, it quickly became the fastest and most expensive production car. Its 8.0-liter W-16 engine, featuring four turbochargers and air-to-liquid intercoolers, generates an impressive 1,001 horsepower, allowing the Veyron to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
The “Soleil de Nuit” edition stands out with its Polished Aluminium lower body, Black Blue Metallic upper surfaces, and Italian Red under the rear wing. It also features diamond-cut wheels from the ‘Sang Noir’ series and an interior adorned with Burnt Orange leather and “Soleil de Nuit” logos. Initially owned by the Kuwaiti royal family, this unique vehicle was delivered in February 2010 and has been meticulously maintained, with annual services recorded until 2014. In 2016, the car returned to Molsheim for servicing and new tires before being acquired by a German owner.
Currently displaying 11,624 kilometers on the odometer, the Veyron comes with its factory accessory box, speed key, manuals, service book, and car cover. It is accompanied by a German Fahrzeugbrief and is subject to VAT on the full purchase price.
