Penguin Dockyard - 3 Lap Race Loading Screen
Penguin Dockyard - 3 Lap Race is a DLC Batmobile race challenge map that is included in the Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile Pack in Batman: Arkham Knight. The lap-based track takes place on a film set inspired by the 1960s TV Show and features the iconic music from the era.
The default Batmobile is the 1960s TV Series Batmobile; star requirements are the same regardless of the Batmobile being used.
Stars[]
- Complete 3 laps in less than 2:15 for 3 stars
- Complete 3 laps in less than 2:45 for 2 stars
- Complete 3 laps in less than 3:15 for 1 star
Rival Points[]
- Complete in under 1:55 to obtain all 20 Rival Points(RP); one RP is earned for every second under 2:15, the 3 star time.
Time Bonuses and Penalties[]
- A total of 15 time bonuses are on the track in the form of wooden cutouts of green stopwatches. Driving through one will subtract 2 seconds from the timer, giving a potential time save of 30 seconds.
Lap Differences[]
- Lap 1
- The first lap offers only one starting route which goes across the boardwalk.
- Lap 2
- The start of the second lap attempts to force the player to make a jump onto multiple ships connected by bridges; however, a slow or well positioned jump allows the player to drive on the boardwalk section from the first lap.
- Lap 3
- The start of the third lap offers the option to either drive the boardwalk section from the first lap, or to make a few jumps across multiple ships. Both options are intentional, unlike the second lap.
References to the '60s TV Series/Movie[]
- A large bottle of "Shark Repellant" can be seen near the ramp.
- The Batcopter can be seen on several parts of the track.
- Above the jump near the end of each lap, there are props of the Batcopter, Classic TV series Batman and Robin hanging from the ceiling. During the three lap challenge, these props move, seemingly recreating the "exploding shark" scene of the movie.
