Imagine being an accomplished soldier, holding a degree in biological science, being asked to stand alongside the world's finest fighting force, and still choosing to identify as a... "fan".
Yes, Flynn Russell could have it all, but instead he's wasted his not-insubstantial brainpower on memorizing the birthdates, shoe sizes and dental records of the world's super-heroes and villains instead of, say... anything remotely of value. If you were an optimist, you might think that it would be useful having a self-described metahuman "expert" on the A.R.G.U.S. team, but rather than anything practical, Russell specializes in trivia and "deep cuts" - useless bits of ephemera that will be burned away when we're vaporized from this planet by the very entities, he finds so fascinating.
I am curious, though, how he knew my middle name.
