Introduction to the Electrified Henchmen.

Electrified henchmen are a new type of enemy featured only in Batman: Arkham Knight.

They first appear in the story after Batman gains access to the weapon system control on the Stagg Airships using the fingerprints Simon Stagg leaves while he's being escorted by Scarecrow's henchmen. If a standing henchman is charged by a medic, he will be covered in a continuous field of electric currents (as first stated in the story, of "1000 volts"), and unlike a henchman with a stun baton who can still be struck from behind, he cannot be attacked head-on from any angle, even if using Takedowns, except if you're using an enemy's weapon (a bat or stick). They cannot be knocked down by Batarangs either, but can be with other thrown objects that can be picked up, or electricity-based attacks (Remote Electrical Charge or Nightwing's Group Electrify). The only easy way to neutralize the electric field is to use one of these gadgets on them: Batman/Azrael/Batgirl/Nightwing's Batclaw (2nd gadget); Robin/Red Hood's Zip-Kick (2nd gadget); Catwoman's whip (1st gadget). A Batclaw Slam (Batclaw → Directed Strike) can also be performed immediately with the Batclaw. These gadgets gain specific use against electrified henchmen, and the targeting is prioritized against them; using a Batclaw Slam, a Zip-Kick or a Whip Trip normally is slow and leaves players vulnerable to attacks, but they can be performed without risk against electrified henchmen, similarly to when an Aerial Attack is performed on a shielded henchman. Another way is to perform a Dual Team Takedown on these henchmen, but this is only available in certain combat situations and challenge maps. Note that only a Dual Team Takedown can neutralize the electric current; if the henchman is KO'ed in any other way (by a weapon, or a Special Combo Multi Ground Takedown), the current will still be there.

Harley Quinn doesn't have any way to deal electrified henchmen, therefore they're not present in her challenge maps.

Red Hood is also able to take out electrified henchmen with ease, using his dual hand-guns, however this may stop the players combo.
