The Batscanner is a device that was employed by Batman and Batgirl in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Design[]

As an upgraded Remote Control Batarang, the Batscanner is employed for wide area scans, notably the whole of New Gotham during Batman's initial search for Scarecrow's Fear Toxin manufacturing location. He also used it when searching for microexplosives that the Riddler had planted into random thugs, and highlighted them in red. Another user is Batgirl, who deployed it in search of hostages taken by the Joker at Seagate Amusement Park.
