"Alice" (known in subtitles as simply Kidnapped Girl) was the name Jervis Tetch gave to a girl he abducted in order to feed his delusions of being the Alice in Wonderland character known as Mad Hatter.

Arkham Origins Incident[]

Prior to the events on Christmas Eve, Jervis Tetch kidnapped a girl, brainwashed her, dressed her in an outfit resembling the titular character from Alice in Wonderland and gave her the name "Alice".

On Christmas Eve, during an attempt by the Mad Hatter to contact the masked vigilante Batman, Alice interferes with the call and cries for Batman's help. Mad Hatter silences her, stating, "she's been through a lot this evening". After Batman arrives at Tetch's office and escapes his brainwashing measures, he confronts the Mad Hatter. Tetch uses Alice as a shield and places a knife at her throat in an attempt to ward off the Dark Knight.

Batman uses a reverse batarang on Tetch, releasing the girl from his grip and knocking him out. Despite being saved, the girl is deeply traumatized by her forced stay by the Mad Hatter to the extent that she starts uncontrollably sobbing. She tells her savior in a terrified tone that it won't be safe for her, ever.

Later she is taken into police custody and questioned about her kidnapping.
