All LaserWriter II versions were based on the same Canon LBP-SX print engine and shared the same printer model number (M6000). They are compatible with Apple M6002 or HP LaserJet 92295A toner cartridges.[1][2] Lower-tier models could converted to higher ones through printer controller board upgrades from Apple.[3][4]
