Violence Against Healthcare Workers Data Gathering and Report Tool

Montana healthcare providers are required to report violence against healthcare employees in accordance with HB-590 starting October 1, 2023. To help providers comply with the law, the Montana Department of Justice (DOJ) has developed this online portal that will collect the required data, transmit it to DOJ, and create a uniform report for providers.

Please report to local law enforcement. This site is only used to gather data for statistical analysis and report generation.

How to use this site to comply with HB 590:

  1. Register your healthcare provider business by using the "Register" button. You will be asked for your business name, address, contact person, and phone number. (This will be used to auto-generate some of the report information).
  2. Select a username and password.
  3. Follow the steps to report the specifics of the incidents.
  4. Finalize the report. The data will be transmitted to DOJ and you will be provided a PDF report.
