Andrea Celli
About meI am an Assistant Professor in the Computing Sciences Department at Bocconi University, and a Research Affiliate at the Bocconi Institute for Data Science and Analytics. Previously, I spent one year as a postdoctoral researcher with the Core Data Science team at Facebook Research (London). I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Politecnico di Milano, where I was advised by Nicola Gatti. During my Ph.D. I was a Visiting Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was working with Tuomas Sandholm at the Electronic Marketplaces Lab. I am a member of the ELLIS Society. My research revolves around problems at the intersection of computer science, optimization, and economics, with a focus on online learning, equilibrium finding problems, sequential decision-making and decision-making under uncertainty, information structure design problems, and algorithms for internet advertising markets. My research was awarded a best paper award at NeurIPS 2020 and the 2017 Lesmo prize for the best Italian MSc Thesis in Artificial Intelligence. News
