Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsWeak legs and a bit fragile, but an acceptable cheap frame

I'm giving this frame three stars because, as the Amazon guideline for three stars says, "It's okay." I've had the frame three years and have used it (almost) daily, so unlike other reviewers who are just commenting on the assembly or how it feels after a night or two, I think I can give some feedback about how it holds up in the long term.
Within a few months of first using this bed, I had a wooden slat break. These slats hold up the mattress and are there to provide some suspension in lieu of a box spring, which you don't need for this frame (and probably can't use unless you want the mattress to be exceptionally high). I contacted the manufacturer under the 1-year warranty, and they sent me two replacement slats for free. That was nice, but it wasn't reassuring to have two break, especially when you're around 180 lb and the only person on the bed.
Within a few months, however, I noticed the four corner legs start to bend. I know I assembled the bed correctly because I read the directions and followed them closely (took me well over an hour alone, by the way--not sure why some reviewers feel it necessary to put down other purchasers about either of these things). I think the problem has to do with how thin/flexible the flat metal part that supports the frame over the legs is. I was able to bend them back to being straight/in line with my bare hands, but that doesn't stop them from wanting to keep bending back in. They're still there but don't look or feel particularly sturdy. If you ever move the bed (even a few inches), I think it would be best to have two people, one on each end, to lift it completely off the ground so you avoid putting stress on the legs, which might have also contributed to their demise for me.
I did move into a new place with this bed and, unlike some others, didn't find it particularly difficult to disassemble or reassemble--as long as you're OK with just taking the legs off and leaving the large, rectangular part of the frame in place. (I didn't bother removing the slats, either. They're pretty hard to remove.) This wasn't a problem for me and shouldn't be for most people since if you're moving this, you're probably also moving a mattress that is around the same size. So, this was not a negative for me. There are also other positive aspects about this bed: when everything is assembled tightly, it's very quiet, even if you might be moving around on it. (I would avoid jumping on it, or any excessive force, for fear of breaking the slats.) It's also very reasonably priced, one of the cheapest bed frames I could find that didn't look terrible. Further, the assembly instructions are clear, and it comes with everything you need, including small tools. I also find it about as comfortable as a typical box-spring bed when I use my regular mattress on it. Additionally, not needing a box spring, it sits fairly high off the ground had has a bit over a foot of clearance underneath, which I used to use for storage--this is nice to have in small spaces.
Anyway, at three years out, I'm still using this bed, but I'm looking to replace it because I don't see the legs holding up much longer (it was originally just one leg but now looks like it's all the corners), and it makes funny creaking noises now that it never did before, which I suspect is some parts coming loose. I have re-tightened what I can and I recommend periodically checking everything (I think the manufacturer does too, but it's been a while since I've read the instructions). It's probably OK if you only want to use it on occasion--e.g., for a guest bed (at least for guests who you don't think would be too hard on the frame)--or if you only plan on using it for a year or two. If you want something to last for years of nightly usage, this is probably not the frame for you. I'd still probably go for something a little higher quality, which will likely cost more, but as long as your expectations are set for this price point, it's at least a usable bed.
