Glenn Glazer

WPBF 25 First Warning Meteorologist

Glenn Glazer is an Emmy Award winning meteorologist and a member of the WPBF First Warning Weather team, the only local team independently certified most accurate by WeatheRate.

Glenn Glazer’s broadcasting career spans over 30 years in television and radio stations in Maryland, Texas, and Florida. Glazer graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.

He later received his Broadcast Meteorology degree from Mississippi State University.

For over two decades Glenn has been keeping South Florida informed and safe as an AMS Meteorologist at WPTV NewsChannel 5, and now for WPBF 25, the #1 television station in South Florida.

He also held meteorologist positions at KENS 5 in San Antonio and KMID in Midland, Texas. Local audiences may also remember Glenn from his time in radio as a DJ for 98.7 The Gater and then 103.1 The Buzz.

Glenn became obsessed with weather while he was a U.S. Coast Guard licensed boat captain for the Annapolis Sailing School in Annapolis, Maryland. Over the years Glenn has covered everything from dust storms to tornadoes, and Tropical Cyclones including Hurricanes Emily, Katrina, Irma, Matthew, Ian and Nicole.

Glenn has also joined forces with numerous local nonprofit organizations like the George Snow Scholarship Fund, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Susan G. Komen, The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County Food Banks, Norman and Ruth Rales Family Services, Cancer Alliance of Health and Hope, and Philanthropy Tank.

Glenn, his wife Tasha (a former TV reporter and anchor), their two children and their dog (Mr. Fitz) live in Palm Beach County. He is a swimmer, golfer, scuba diver, boater, musician, and even a children’s book author. He and his family are also theme park fanatics!
