President Biden is currently hosting the second day of the NATO Summit in Washington as he's facing mounting pressure from his own party to step aside from the 2024 presidential race. President Biden, in an attempt to assert his leadership on the global stage and quell doubts about his candidacy, said, "We can and will defend every inch of NATO territory."Addressing the escalating production of weapons by Russia, the President stated, "We cannot, in my view, we cannot allow the alliance to fall behind."Despite his efforts to reassure Democrats of his ability to serve another term, Biden's position is increasingly under scrutiny. "It's up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We're all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short," said former House Speaker and Biden ally, Nancy Pelosi. This hint at a potential change of mind from the President comes as the first Senate Democrat publicly stated that Biden cannot win in 2024. "Donald Trump is on track, I think, to win this election, uh, and maybe win it by a landslide and take with him the Senate and the House," said Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado.Adding to the chorus of voices is Hollywood superstar and Democratic fundraiser George Clooney. In a New York Times opinion piece, Clooney urged the party to find a new nominee. He wrote, "He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate."President Biden continues with his NATO schedule, meeting with the UK's Prime Minister and hosting a dinner with allies at the White House on Wednesday night.
