Kim Dacey

Kim is a Maryland native who joined the WBAL-TV 11 News Team in 2007, after working at NBC affiliates in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Evansville, Indiana.

During her career, she has done many crazy things for the job, including jumping out of an airplane. She has taken on many roles in the newsroom, from reporter to anchor to producer.

She loves meeting interesting people and telling their stories. As a general assignment reporter at WBAL-TV, Kim covers a wide range of stories. Some of the most memorable are Superstorm Sandy, the deadly school shooting in St. Mary’s County, and almost every snowstorm that comes our way.

Kim grew up in Frederick and attended Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. She later graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with a degree in broadcast journalism.

When she’s not at work, she’s spending time with her husband and children.
