EA SPORTS UFC 5 CONTENT UPDATE | May 2024

Check Out The Latest News And Updates For UFC 5, As Real As It Gets

EA Sports UFC 5 is receiving its largest content update yet – starting with the addition of four new World Extreme Cage Fighting (WEC) Alter Egos. As part of the WEC collection, we begin at WEC 26, where featherweight champion Urijah Faber would defend his title against Dominick Cruz. Faber ended the fight in short order, submitting Cruz via guillotine choke in the first round. At WEC 35, Carlos Condit looked for his third welterweight title defense against Hiromitsu Miura. Condit would proceed to add another memorable performance to his resume, finishing Miura in the fourth round.

At the final WEC event before getting acquired by UFC, the stage was set with two title fights – each set to propel the winners into UFC success. At WEC 53, Dominick Cruz would face off against Scott Jorgenson to crown the inaugural UFC bantamweight champion. Cruz dominated the matchup, winning via unanimous decision en route to becoming the first UFC bantamweight champion. Headlining WEC 53 was a lightweight title bout between champion, Benson Henderson, and challenger, Anthony Pettis. Over the course of five rounds, Pettis was able to dethrone Henderson and successfully capture the WEC lightweight title in a fight filled with memorable moments. To honor the journeys of these four fighters, load up UFC 5 and play as their Alter Egos!

Not only will the WEC collection be available in-game, but four new Alter Egos from UFC 300 are also part of the content update. Light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, and strawweight queen, Zhang Weili, will be included; along with 2 of the baddest men to ever enter the Octagon, Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje. All four UFC 300 Alter Egos will be sporting their custom fight kits worn under the brightest lights.

For instance, Matheus Nicolau, who competes in an upcoming main event against Alex Perez, as well as Steve Erceg, who challenges Alexandre Pantoja for the flyweight title at UFC 301, are both now playable.
