Search continues for wanted man in Pocahontas County
Deputies in Pocahontas County are urging people to lock their doors as they search for a man wanted by federal authorities.
The man they're looking for is Nathan Edward Nickless. According to court documents, Nickless was supposed to go on trial for federal charges related to unlawfully transporting firearms and drugs. He failed to show up to court on Monday and the judge issued an arrest warrant.
Nickless was last seen in Rolfe on Tuesday, after deputies say he led authorities on a pursuit. Nickless then ran into a corn field. Authorities from various local, state and federal agencies looked for him for hours before calling off the search early Wednesday morning.
Law enforcement says Nickless is armed and dangerous.
